Ok, so I was inspired by looking at some of the dragons of fairy tail to write this. I think they're beautiful and my favorite is Grandeeney. Her eyes and white fur instead of scales is just ♡-♡.

Anyway, here's the story I hope you like the first chapter!

Lucy bounces up and down.
"Look! Momma! I can do it!"

Lucy opens her hands and a golden bright light appears in her palms. The light is then transformed into a butterfly, the butterfly is golden and resembles a sand sculpture.

The butterfly then flys out of little Lucy's hands, circling around her. Her mother smiles. Athenan was a true beauty indeed. After all she was the dragon of heavens and happiness, the good and the just.

Her daughter was Lucy Heartifilla. Athenan adopted her as her own when Lucy had ran away from her home. Lucy was neglected by her father and Athenan couldn't bare to send her back to a place she would grow up unhappy.

Lucy's eyes follow the butterfly that fluttered around her arms.

"Good, that's impressive Lucy." Athenan assures her daughter.

Lucy smiles.
"I'm ready to learn the heaven dragons roar."

She cups her hands over her mouth and makes a roaring sound that was more of a squeak.

"Are you sure Lucy?" Athenan asks surprised. But that was one of the things that Athenan loved about Lucy. Whatever she did, she gave it her all, she never quit out of frustration or anger. She truly believed in herself.

"Ok Lucy. If you're sure your ready ill teach you."

Athenan stands from her sitting position. Her tail sways back and fourth, blowing the leaves to the side.

"The first thing you need to understand, is that you must focus fully on what you want to hit. But you should never use it where it isn't needed."

Lucy nods, listening to the dragons instructions intently.

"Close your eyes and stay calm, then, use the power that you have generated inside of you and blow it out all in one strike. This is a deadly blow so I warn you to be mindful of its use."

Athenan prepares to demonstrate this attack to Lucy. Her eyes close and she opens her bird-like wings. Lucy watches her mother in awe as Athenan opens her eyes again. She opens her jaws full of razor blades for teeth and roars.

A gust of yellow light flys from the dragon, spiraling towards a tree that Athenan had aimed for. Her roar was majestic and mighty.

The light moves forward at an incredible speed and destroys the tree. But not only the tree, it tears apart the land around it at a 10 foot radius.

Athenan flaps her wings and folds them back behind her.

Lucy looks at her mother, gaping wide.

"Wooow." She mutters quietly. But Athenan hears even this. Her big pointy wolf-like ears hear everything from a mouse scurrying to a grasshopper jumping from leaf to leaf.

"Now you try." She gives Lucy a smile of encouragement.

Lucy stands up from her sitting and brushes the leaves off of her skirt. She aims at a different tree near the smothered demonstration, cupping her hands together over her lips. Little lucy inhales deeply and roars just like her mother, but it wasn't a dragon roar, it was small and soft.

The light comes from Lucy in spirals, hitting the tree she aimed for. The destruction was less to that of her mothers, but it was pretty incredible considering her size.

"That was amazing! Lucy your an incredible learner!" Athenan praises Lucy.

"You really think so?" Lucy asks. She grinned from ear to ear.

"Yes. That was perfect Lucy. You'll master heavenly magic before you know it."

Lucy's grin grows and she she runs to Athenan. She hugs the bottom of Athenan's foot.

Athenan smiles down at her daughter. It hurts her to know that soon she'll have to leave Lucy. She must teach Lucy everything she needs to know before she has to leave her.

Athenan's smile disappeared. Lucy looked up at Athenan and noticed her gloomy look.

"Are you okay mom?" She asks in a sweet voice.

"Yes sweet heart I'm just thinking, that's all."
