9:00 AM
I'm on my way to Katie's again...... I hope Marcus isn't there...... with Sam.... And Maxwell.... but this time we have our tents packed into the hatch of the Santa Fe, and we're staying over night this time. Yay! Quality Bff time! Mom says we can go swimming in the nearby river if it gets too hot this afternoon. I love swimming in rivers and lakes. They're better than pools. Way better than pools. Nothing much happens for the rest of the day, until......
2:00 PM
"HOP IN THE CARS EVERYONE! WERE GOIN' DOWN TO THE RIVER!!!!"
"Finally!" I sigh with relief, It's sooooo hot! We throw our inflatable tubes on the back of the truck, and my dad drives us down to the river. There's no one else here! I'm the first one into the water, of course.
"WOOOOO HOOOOO!" I yell, canon-balling into the cool water, feeling instant relief from the heat. Katie jumps in next, while my sister creeps in, and Kyle does a dive off of the raft. The raft is only about a metre from the soft grass on the side of the river, but the bank is super steep, so you can jump off of the raft, about 2 metres away from the bank, and jump right in, not hitting the muddy bottom until you go down a good 7 or 8 feet. The good thing about this river is that the water is really dark, so I go underwater, and swim in the direction of Katie, and pop up out of the water next to her. Then I go underwater again, and swim away, as quietly as I came. Right when I come up, someone jumps in off the raft. I look to see who it is, and I see Kyle, my sister, and Katie, thats everyone. And all the parents are still on the blanket thats sitting on the bank. Then whos in the water. I see another vehicle that seemed to appear out of nowhere, and two adults jump out of the car, greeting the other adults. I reconize them, but can't place them. Then I realize as soon as his head pops out of the water, his dark hair in his face...
MARCUS!
(I know i said these would be longer, but this is too good of a cliffhanger. LOL)
