Chapter 1
Her name is Jade Younge she was beautiful. Everything about her makes me fall in love even more. Seeing her every morning to stop at the cafe to get a large mocha latte with extra whipped cream, watching her beautiful brown eyes shine in the light, she was an angel. " Jonah! " my mom yells from downstairs snapping me out of my day dream. "Hurry up you're gonna miss your flight". I hurry down the stairs to give my mom a hug and kiss, I was visiting her for Christmas break now im heading back to my college in Washington. "I love you mom" I say as I get into my car. The drive to the airport wasn't long and the flight wasn't either. As soon as I get to my dorm my roommate Max is sleep in nothing but his boxers. I decide to take a quick nap but by the time I wake up its 7am. I call my friend Alex to meet at the cafe hoping i'll see Jade there. He tells me to meet him there in half an hour which gives me time to take a quick shower because I smell like peanuts, mainly because I had eaten like five packets.
I finally get to the cafe and I see Alex sitting at a table in the far corner of the the cafe with a girl on his lap it seems like he has a new girlfriend every other week. I decide to order me a mocha latte because they turn out to be really good. "Hey Jonah long time no see" Alex says with a huge smile on his face as I sit across from him. "Its only been two weeks". I laugh and him and his 'friend' joins. "This is Natalie" he says and she smiles and I smile back to be polite. I start hearing some girls laughing and I turn to see Jade and her friends. I instantly begin to feel my nerves take over. I watch her as she orders her normal order, wishing I was brave enough to go and talk to her. "You're going to have to talk to her sooner or later". Alex says as if he knew what I was thinking. Natalie begins to start waving at Jade signaling her to come and sit at our table. I literally feel my hairs stand up on my arms and I knew if she touched me she would feel my goosebumps. I didn't know Natalie would know Jade. Jade walks over to the table and sits in the empty seats next to mine as her friends grab extra chairs to sit with us. "Hey" Jade says making me get butterflies in my stomach. I've never felt this way for a girl before. "Hi". I say giving her an awkward smile. I really want to tell her how beautiful I think she is and how much I would love to take her out sometime, but I don't have the guts to even start a conversation with her. "You're Jonah right?". Jade ask
"Yeah". I say trying to not show how nervous I am.
"We see you around campus a lot Jade seems to really like you". One of her friends say and winks at Jade not knowing I saw.
"Shut up" Jade says with and awkward smile on her face. I can't help but smile at her friends comment. I sit there quietly not knowing what to say hoping someone will break the silence. Jade finally starts asking me questions about my life and we seem to have a lot of things in common. We both have divorced parents, the only child and we both love to read. At the end of night me and Jade make plans to have dinner at her favorite restaurant Rossui. I've never been but it sounds italian.
