Chapter Twenty Six - Dragon-Snake Spirit

They all back at Kongpop's dormitory again....

Arthit was unconscious in Kong's room and Sarawat was taking care of Tine who got minor injured. Whereas Khao disappeared and there was no clue where she and the tiger demon hid.

After a few days, Arthit finally regained consciousness, he stood at the balcony, leaning on the railing and staring blankly at the dark night sky, while Kong prepared something delicious for him in the kitchen.

"You're awake?" Kong surprised the man who was daydreaming. "I made something for you, are you hungry?"

Arthit slightly turned backward, glanced at Kong and softly shook his head. Kong put a tray containing a bowl of chicken soup on the table, then walked over and stood beside him. He reached out to touch Arthit's forehead, but the man immediately looked away.

Kong looked surprised and could read his mind. "Sarawat had told me everything about Khao and you..." he paused for a moment. "Why didn't you tell me earlier?!!" he sounded emotionally.

"Because I don't want you to love me as Khao, I want you to accept me for who I really am!"

"But, I almost kill you!!!" exclaimed Kong in trembling voice. "What if I really killed you?!"

"It doesn't matter..." replied Arthit. "After all, I owe you my life, you can take it whenever you want..."

"I will kill myself afterward..." cut Kong.

Arthit immediately turned to look at him straight. "Did you really mean to kill me back at the temple, Kong? Did you hate me so much?"

Kong immediately reached out his hands and hugged Arthit tight. "No, I'm so sorry...I should have believe you, I really was a fool...." he ducks his face on Arthit's shoulder. "Please, forgive me...I'll listen to you from now..."

Arthit can't hold his tears, but he quickly wiped it, then pushed Kong's shoulder and replied.

"Don't need to apologize...I'm glad we return home safely, let's forget about this matter..."

Kong nodded in agree and changed the topic. "I've talked to Sarawat, he agreed to let you go...but with one condition..."

Arthit immediately glanced at Kong, waiting him to finish the sentence.

"He asks you to return all the spirit pearls that you stole..."

"Sorry, but I can't do that..."

"Why? What are you planning? Why did you collect those pearls?"

"He didn't tell you?" Arthit raised his eyebrow.

"Tell what?"

Arthit looked doubtful for a moment, he was considering about whether he should tell Kong about this plan or not.

"What's wrong?" Kong raised his eyebrows and was curious. "Did you hide something from me?"

Arthit took a deep breath before speak up. "I think this is the time to tell you, in case I die or was sent back to the prison..."

"What do you mean?" Kong asked, he got a bad feeling.

Arthit then took out the green dragon pearl, then give it to Kong and explained. "This pearl is the spirit of the Green Jade Dragon demon...that I killed thousands of years ago....that is you..."

Kong widened his eyes and surprised with a thousand of questions spinning in his head.

Arthit then told the story of Kong's reincarnation as the Green Jade Dragon, how they had met and having a forbidden relationships in the past, he also told him about Dragon-Snake egg and his reason of collecting the five dragon pearls.
