"3...2...1..." I turned the door handle and opened the door.
I smiled. We were under a desk in the main area. I looked over at Seth.
"Go!" He mouthed.
I nodded and moved out of the tunnel. I crouched under the desk and looked around.
Bang!
Another 'bang' rang out through the station. There was no one around in this area. I came out from under the desk pulling out my gun and pointing it in front of me. I moved around the office area, looking for anyone or anything to use as clues, to what Semara is doing or has done. But no one was here. I looked over at Seth.
"Next room?" I whispered.
He nodded, moving over to the doorway to the other room and looking inside. I slowly walked over. He gave me a thumbs up and walked inside. I followed him. I heard a scream from the next room over.
"Get away from me!" Someone screamed. "What do you want from me?!"
"Tell me where Dawn is!"
I looked over at Seth.
"Semara?" He mouthed.
I nodded. My stomach did a flip. I took a big deep breath in and exhaled. I moved over towards the door into the next room. Seth came up behind me and placed his hand on the door handle. He turned it and we both peeked inside.
Inside there was Semara holding down one of our trainers.
"Over my dead body!" The trainer hissed.
Semara pulled out his gun. "Well I will be over your dead body soon if you don't tell me!" He retaliated.
"Go find dad." I whispered to Seth. "I need to do this alone..."
He nodded and ran to my dad's office. When I knew he was gone I pushed open the door as hard as I could and stepped inside the room, pointing my gun at Semara.
"The only dead body will be yours!" I sneered.
"Ahhhhh Ashley!" He smiled. "Nice of you to grace us with your presence!"
He shifted the gun over to aim it at me, his smile turning into snarl with his eyes narrowing, as if challenging me.
"Why are you even still here?" He asked.
"Because since your little plan to weaken me," I started. "I've grown stronger, not only as a person but as a fighter. You are the reason I became stronger. You, Bailey and Piper are the reason I became stronger. So to answer your question. I am here to fight, not only for me but for my family and anyone else who needs you out of their lives because I can't remember a time when you weren't the reason I was a fucking hot mess!"
"Using big words now are we!" He sneered.
"Yes I am because I'm not 13 anymore and you can't control me or hurt me!" I yelled. "Because you have taken away everything that has ever meant anything to me in this world and I am fucking stronger than ever!"
I placed my finger on the trigger ready to pull it. Just as I was about to pull it, Semara put up a finger as if to say 'wait a second'.
"You might not wanna do that." He said.
"Why not!?" I asked.
"Because little girl," he started and pointed above him. "Up there in your Daddy's office is a bomb right under the desk. And when I press this button," he pulled out a control with two buttons on it - I'm guessing one to make it blow up and the other to disarm it. "Your daddy isn't going to be your daddy anymore and I think you know why."
"Get stuffed!" I screamed.
And with that I shoved my gun in the waistband of my pants and dived at him. I knocked the gun out of his hands and tackled him to the ground. I reached for the remote for the bomb and grabbed it, holding it firmly in my hand and out of his reach. I sat on him and pulled out one of my knives, holding it at his throat. I looked over at the trainer lying on the floor still. I pulled out my spare gun and chucked it at her.
"Get out, quick!" I yelled at her.
She caught the gun and scrambled out of the room. I turned back to Semara, still holding the knife at his throat.
"How do you think this is going to end?" He smirked.
"Honestly I'm just playing it as I see it!" I smiled. "And the way I see it is that you are going to die in 3...2..-"
"Just stop right there!" He said holding up his hand. "There's something else about the bomb."
I rolled my eyes. "Are you kidding me! What else is there to know about?!" I whined.
"You can do whatever the hell you want with me but there is a timer on that bomb!" He said starting to chuckle like he has won already. "And in 30 minutes that bomb will explode. You can try all you want to get your daddy out but you will never win this war!"
"I'm fed up with this shit just get out of my life!" I yelled.
I grabbed the gun that I'd knocked out of his hands and held the gun to his head. His expression was blank.
"You won't get away with this!" He snarled.
"Are you kidding me?" I laughed. "You're really playing that cliché line?!"
His eyes narrowed. He tried to squirm out of my grasp but it only made me harden the pressure I put on him.
"Besides." I narrowed my eyes and looked deep into his. "I already have!"
I pulled the trigger letting the bullet sink right into his twisted brain and never come back out!
