I think we need to break up. She stared at the message on her screen. It's only been five days, what the hell is going on. She tried to stop herself from crying and typed "Okay i'd rather us break up than stay together and you not like me." This was the second time Alex and Charlie had dated. Every time he broke up with her in under a week. She was so fed up with being messed around with. They're only in year 8 but she expected him to at least give a shit about her but he clearly never did. "Alright, i'll see you later, Are you going to the church club later?" She really didn't want to see him but she wanted to stay friends "Yes i'll see u later" How did things go from him saying "I'm really happy with you," to "we need to break up." This wasn't the first time but she prayed it would be different but it clearly wasn't. Alex stood up and went for a shower before getting dressed and putting on makeup. She wanted to show him that she wasn't bothered.
Alex walked into the church and payed. Amy was sitting there waiting for her. "He broke up with me, again, I can't wait to eat his fucking christmas present." Amy laughed while hugging her. About five minutes later their three other friends turned up, Jess, Tom and Hannah. Alex had been friends with Jess and tom since reception and they always made fun of her she assumed they were just joking like they always are. Alex and Hannah had only been friends for a few months but they had met about four years ago in the church group. Hannah was super pretty, blonde hair, blue eyes, really cute laugh and always messed up her words. Hannah also liked Charlie so she knew even if she did like Hannah she liked her 'ex' boyfriend so she gathered she's probably straight. "So what's happened with you and that prick?" Tom asked Alex sitting down. "Broke up with me again i don't know what the fuck i've done this time I can't win" she laughed nervously looking at Hannah. She had tried to keep her relationship with Charlie as secret since she knew Hannah also liked him but Tom told her. Hannah and Alex weren't very close friends but Alex would never want to hurt her. Luckily Charlie seemed like she didn't really care that much.
"Oh look assholes here!" Tom was looking out the window and saw Charlie walking in.He waved at Alex and she waved back."Hey Hannah, have I showed you that drawing I did yesterday?" She was just finding things to talk about so she wouldn't have to have a conversation with Charlie. "No, you haven't." Alex showed Hannah the drawing. They talked about it until the leader told everyone to be quite. For the rest of the night they all played dodgeball. Alex tried hitting Charlie in the head a few times but she missed nearly every shot. At the end of the night they all said goodbye and went home.
