On The Road

*bing!*
"Ughhh" as she let's out a long groan. She reaches over sluggishly to the night stand next to her bed to grab her phone. It's a text message from a group chat with Mia, Avery, & Soph.

Mia had just gotten back from picking up Soph & Avery at the airport. She insisted that Ag come with her so she didn't have to make two trips being that the closest airport was a state away. However, Ag was too mopey & sad to get out of bed, so instead Mia decided to make the trip back to get Ag after hitting the airport despite how much driving that was.

After sitting up for about a minute doing nothing but starting at the floor, Ag rolls out of bed & puts on her Air Force 1s. She grabs her two bags which she packed the night before & makes her way downstairs to the front door. She finds her mom in the living room watching TV.

"Hey mom, they're here." Says Ag staring at her mom with her two bags in her hands. "Okay honey, I love you. Be careful & have fun." Says her mom standing up to go hug her. "I know you're a little sad but try to get over it, you're going to have so much fun with your friends!".

"I'll be careful & I'll at least try to have some fun, but I love you too Mom." Ag says as she puts down her bags to hug her mom back.

Ag then opens the door & makes her way down the steps of the front porch to Mia's car. As Avery opens the door of the back seat for Ag & helps her put her bags into the trunk, Mia rolls the window down & waves to Ag's mom. Ag then hops in the back seat with Avery as they pull off from the front of Ag's house playing music. They all seemed so excited expect for Ag.

"Wow guys I am soooo excited right now!" Says Avery, stoked with a big smile on her face.

"So am I! I can't wait to get to the beach & catch a tan, I been needing it lately" Mia says while laughing.

"You know what I'm excited for?" says Soph while looking at everyone. "Long boarding!" Avery, Mia, & Soph shout at each other. They all notice how Ag is quiet on her phone while they are all super excited.

"Hey, Ag what's wrong?" says Avery. "Yea for real dude, what's up with you?" comes following Soph.

"She's all bummed out about that girl she's been seeing for a while. She has totally been ghosting her on & off for the past couple of weeks & has no explanation why. She also treats Ag kinda shitty if you ask me." replies Mia answering for Ag.

"Awe, well she's missing out on a great girl if u ask me" says Soph sympathetically.

"Actually no, that's not it" Ag says defensively. "I'm just a little tired that's all. After I take this nap I'll be fine"

"Yea, that's why you been posting all of those quotes on your private that literally describes your situation with Eden right now. & every time I go over you always play your bag music playlist. Look, it's okay to be in your feelings sometimes Ag, you just gotta get over it sooner or later. We're going to have so much fun this week & I'd appreciate it if you brighten up a little" says Mia as she quickly glares a smile at Ag through the rear-view mirror.

"Plus there's plenty of fish in the sea" says Avery.

"I guess" says Ag. "How much longer till we get to the next stop?"

"Are you serious? We just got on the road 15 minutes ago. Next time we're stopping is in the next 8 hours. I want to get this driving out the of the way." Mia says.

"Dude, that's literally almost the whole 9 hour trip. What if I have to use the bathroom?" Says Ag frustrated.

"Well, we hope you used the bathroom before we picked you up because we did." Says Mia. "Oh, & Incase you get hungry we got food right before we got you & yours is right here" as she hands Soph a bag to hand back to Ag.

"Thanks, but I'm not very hungry right now. I'll save it for when I wake up from my nap." says Ag.

"Okay, but when your fries are cold I don't wanna hear you complain." Mia says as she laughs.

Mia turns up the music a little bit as they all sing along. Ag puts in her AirPods ,& you know it, puts her bag music playlist on shuffle. Her & her friends been planning this trip out for many months before hand & she was so excited. Now that it's time & with dealing with all of her complications with Eden, she wasn't so stocked anymore. She had been dreading this trip for the past few weeks but of course she still went because she didn't want to flake out on her friends. Everything with Eden was so complicated. She constantly ghosts Ag when they break up & runs back to her ex when they break up. She has even cheated on her once but Ag still took her back. Everything is also an argument with Eden & it's never steady sailing. It really effected Ag to be in such a toxic relationship, especially now was the worst it's ever been, but something about Eden kept drawing her back to Ag & even she struggled to figure out what it was. Right now they were going through an "off" phase & Eden was continuously trying to get Ag jealous with her ex, as always.

After listening to a few songs Ag dozed off.
