Fiona was sleeping like a drunk and dead; in her sleep she returned to the day smith died.

It was a cold night of January, the valley was covered with the sparkling white snow. Smith came back home. He was looking sad, upset and unsettled. Fiona sensed her perturbation but remained quiet on it.

"Hey Smith, I am serving dinner, come over" said Fiona.
Smith replied,
"I do not want to eat today"

Nothing seemed to be alright with Smith. He was looking harmless without his devilish signature expressions but something was missing. He wasn't the Smith that he used to be. He went to his bed so early and he voiced again,
"Can I tell you something, Fiona?

"Yes?"

"I am little impatient, and a little insecure. You have drove me out of my dark life. You are the only person who has absorbed me, in her soul. You have accepted me slowly and then once for all. I LOVE YOU WITHOUT KNOWING THAT HOW AND WHY but I don't trust you." He told her, very politely.

"What are you saying?" She replied in a contentious manner.

"You have to make a promise with me; that you'll just stay with me, being mine even If I am here or not." Said Smith

"It is a very simple plea. I promise!" Said Fiona by holding Smith's sinewy, livid hands

Smith beamed with comfort but said to her, "It is not that simple, my love. Please Just stay.

Smith closed his eyes, Fiona kissed his rosy, lax and silent lips then she rest her self on his broad chest and fall asleep. He responded, with just a voiced up breath.

Right now she was dreaming all her memories, but the sun has arised and its rays were stinging through her windows. It made her awake.

"Oh my Smith, isn't it weird that how promises calm one's heart and feeds the soul but I am astonished, how my promise calm your heart that it did not beat again, how light your soul felt to leave the world so early." Said Fiona, in her heart.

Smith died, the same night on which Fiona made promise with him. He never woke up. His funeral held at the old church near the cemetery. Fiona has passed, three years without Smith. Smith's death anniversary was next month so Fiona was already deciding to move to Mr. Peterson's house for some days but it was difficult for her to agree Ronald and Joanna as they want her to marry Dave, from lucien's family.
