Chapter One: Dance In Your Dream

I walked with him in a field full of flowers. Our fingers were intertwined, laced together firmly but it still felt gentle. I let myself breath in the aromatic fragrance of flowers and let it dissolve in my blood. I felt the aroma rush inside my body and then out.

I could recognise the various species of flowers. From Jasmine to White Lilies. There were Sunflowers and Dandelions. The colours merged so well with each other, it seemed like a wave of sunshine that rested on the ground. It was gorgeous. It felt so real yet unbelievable. I laughed at something he told me and he chuckled back in response.

I could reciprocate what he felt at the moment. We let the sunshine hit our skin and let it glow. I wore a knee-length pastel yellow dress that was comfortable enough for me to roam around in heaven-like landscape with him. He wore a white shirt, that was a bit see through, and dark pants. I could feel myself glow with him. He was lit up himself in my presence.

Again, I would say, it felt so real yet unbelievable.

I could see fluffy, cotton candy like clouds walk over with us. The sun blazing through the canopy clouds created for it. The sunlight was strong, laser like, still the heat wasn't strong. It was tolerable. The playful chirruping of birds echoed in my ears.

The aroma of flowers was strong, at a point it smelled sweet like a candy. It didn't matter how strong it was, it was pleasant.

I kept looking at him again and again. Gave each other smiles and shared words with one another like we will never ever get a chance again.

We stood under a giant green tree. Few leaves stood out emerald because of the light hitting them. I could hear a pleasant music as I closed my eyes, it wasn't the birds creating music with their chirrups, it wasn't even the leafy music caused by the green leaves due to wind. I started swinging myself to the music, the vibe that I felt was strong. After a few seconds it felt like someone played it using some device.

I opened my eyes and stopped dancing, the guy who was with me was gone. The music I could hear got more and more annoying.

I slipped out of my dream world and snapped back to my consciousness. I stared at the white ceiling above me. I couldn't believe it was happening again. I looked over at my room's doorway. There he was.

"Hi there!" My brother exclaimed with a childish grin spread on his lips.

He held his phone in his hand, with that annoying Baby Shark song playing. He. Is. So. Annoying.

"Ishaan!" I yelled out his name, and sat up. "Are you serious?" I asked him with irritation written all over my face.

"I'm telling this to dad!" I said.

And all he did was nod his head with a no.

"Dude, I'm telling you, you are not being saved this time. I'll not let anyone save you! Stop with this shit. It's getting annoying day by day." I exclaimed as I stood up.

"Nah! Dad won't say a word to me. He will eventually end up taking my side sis." He said with a wide grin on his face. And I'm telling you today it wasn't looking good at him. I intended to make it look way better.

He was right. He literally stated A FACT (emphasis on 'a fact') that dad won't say anything to him. I didn't know if he is younger or my family saw me as I don't matter or something, he was always saved.

"Don't worry my big little sweet sister! Don't be so annoyed. I won't do it again." He said with a teasing smile this time.

And what the hell was 'big little sweet sister'? he was dumb, annoying and sometimes said things that made no sense!
