As the days go by,

We are together ,but why?

So conflicted are our lives,

All around me I hear pleading and cries.

Gravity is inversely proportional to square if the distance,

So you say we were something, but in the past tense.

You were my beacon in the dark.

But in the end you broke my heart.

We were a time bomb ticking down to zero.

That much I realized long ago.

But that fact I am trying to change,

Even if I have to cross a mountain range.

You ask me why I am low.

I tell you to please just go.

But you want an answer.

How can I tell something is burning through our relationship like a cancer?

All this anger and pain I shall burn to ashes.

I shall forget all those memory flashes.

Hold my hand as they lash.

Don't leave me because I'm gonna crash.

I have two words for you.

You guess and here's a clue.

Words I hope that will melt your heart.

Heal the rift that has driven us apart.

Follow you no matter how far.

Echo in your mind where ever you are.

And as you stare out into the horizon,

I hope you hear me whisper these words,

I'M SORRY.
