70 years of Formula 1 racing, and the anniversary race was now over.

Max Verstappen had claimed victory over the pair of Mercedes that had struggled on the soft tyres in the scorching summer heat of Silverstone. At the start of the year, nobody could have dreamt of how this season had started.

A female with wild blonde hair leant on the wall of the FIA garage; trying her best to keep in the shade as she waited for her driver. Dressed in a Williams team polo, she was speaking to the one of the Renault trainers, neither of their expressions visible, as face coverings were of course mandatory within the paddock. Their conversation paused however as the first of the drivers emerged from the backdoor of the FIA garage.

The Racing Point drivers walked past the pair with little interaction. It was the driver just behind however that caused a slight stir.

The Renault driver stopped beside his trainer, however turning first to the female beside him. The sparkle in his eyes was dull and she wordlessly seemed to soothe him with her own smiling eyes, a hand placed onto his arm momentarily before he departed with his trainer. It was a split second of interaction, but it was something the paddock was unaccustomed to for now.

Maybe it was due to the lack of cameras, or maybe it was just something she just did without thought. But there was one thing for sure, it was a small moment that would not be unnoticed.

Hey, its been a while and I know I never finished Those Who Wait (although I feel the point it ended actually is pretty fitting, maybe I'll do an epilogue at some point to tie it up) but this is an idea I got recently and thought I'd put pen to paper again.

Enjoy x
