I only managed to sleep 4 hours, so I've been laying here since 4am. It's now 6, and I finally decide to get up and change into clothes that are in the wardrobe. I throw on my Golden Dawn cloak and stare at my reflection.

'Maybe I will be safe here. As far as anyone knows in the kingdom I'm dead...with Captain William's help I can mask my grimoire...so I don't think I have anything to worry about'

A knock at the door snaps me out of my train of thought and I open the door to reveal Captain William.

"Good morning Y/n, I hope you slept well. Are you ready to be toured around headquarters?"

I gulp but nod my head and close the door. I stay behind him as he talks about what's around. "Right now we're at the sleeping quarters. There are two others near you, but you'll meet them later. Around this corner is the mess hall where everyone eats and just to your left is the courtyard. Upstairs are the quarters where the higher ranked knights sleep and we have a conference hall on the next floor. My room and office is also on that floor so if you need anything don't hesitate to ask." Captain William smiles at me and we continue our walk to the mess hall where everyone is already eating breakfast. They notice his presence and all stand up, then Captain William simply nods, indirectly telling them to take seats.

"This is Y/n, she just joined Golden Dawn, so please make her feel welcome. I'm placing her with your squad Klaus" Captain William turns to a certain table where a male with blue hair and glasses nods his head. Next to him is a girl with light auburn hair and green eyes who seems, while on the other side of him is a taller male with dark hair who seems very stoic and unapproachable. I look back at Captain William who just simply smiles and nods his head. "You'll be fine, Klaus and Yuno may seem a little unapproachable, but they'll take good care of you. You'll be good friends with Mimosa too. If you need anything or just want to talk about your power, you know where I'll be" He pats my shoulder and leaves the room. My gaze falls back on the three in front of me. I gulp then take a seat in front of them.

"Hello there I-"

"I don't care" the dark haired male interrupts me while the other male shakes his head

"Yuno that's not very polite" The girl pipes and smiles at me. "My name is Mimosa, that's Yuno and our senior is Klaus. You're Y/n right?"

"Yeah...It's good to meet all of you" I smile

Neither of the males say anything and I internally panic. Do they not like me? Have the figured I'm not from here already? Oh no I might be as good as-

"What's your magic?" Yuno snaps me out of my internal panic attack and I clear my throat.

"Light and dark magic"

He nods his head and continues to eat his food and I smile at Mimosa who returns the action. "So Y/n where are you from? I've never seen you before" I feel a lump in my throat and swallow before answering.

"I grew up on the streets in the capital" I had to lie. I hate it, but I had to. I have to protect myself and them.

"Oh that makes sense..."

"Great another peasant..." Klaus mutters just loud enough for me to hear. I let out a forced laugh and I notice some other members of Golden Dawn whispering and staring at me. It makes me anxious so I excuse myself and go back to my room. I shut the door quickly and take a seat on my bed, letting out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I glance at my Grimoire that I left on my bed under my blankets and brush my hand over the cover. I place it in its satchel and fix my hair in the mirror before a knock at the door fills my ears. I open it, my eyes meeting Klaus's.

"The Captain wants to see you" He says in a monotone voice

I nod my head and step out of the room, following behind Klaus as he walks me to the Captain's office. Some members are still staring and it starts to make me uncomfortable. We reach his office and I knock before I hear a low 'come in'. I open the door and he smiles at my presence. Klaus bows to Captain William and closes the door on his way out.
