REFLECTION

Well, that's the end of this story...

Now it's time to reflect!

I have a feeling that some of you may be confused with the ending as well as Tae and Ella's relationship.

You see, Ella and Tae were never supposed to fall in love with each other. I had that in mind from the beginning. The story was meant to focus on their growing bond and the way they help each other through the hardships.

Rather than love, I wanted to highlight the fact that you can get comfort and happiness from someone who's just a friend. That was what happened in their case.

Importance of friendship.

And who knows, maybe in the future when their lives get more settled, they'll develop some feelings for each other as well. Who knows?? 

But for now, in this story, they needed to get over their past before starting a new romance. It felt unrealistic to do that when both are already so in love with other people.

About the ending, it's kind of an open one. You're welcome to guess whatever that comes next in their lives.

The last line had some reference to the lyrics of zero o'clock. When the clock struck midnight, it symbolized the start of a new day, a new beginning. They can start all over again.

The ending was a bit abrupt but I felt like I had written everything I needed to. 

From the title, I wanted to convey the message of how important those around you are in your life. That can be a good and a bad thing.

If you're in a crisis and you need to vent out, talk to people. Talk to your mom, dad, sibling or your friend. Because you need them in your life. They help you in more ways that you can imagine. 

But at the same time, know your worth. Don't lose yourself because of other people's actions.
