I woke up the next morning, the sun was shining on my face, but it was getting cold outside. You  could feel the fall starting to fill the air. I checked my texts, none. None from Leia, none from my mom, none from my dad. Did they notice what I had done? I obviously hadn't gone "just to the park."

I fell back asleep, but i felt something, or someone, poking me. I opened my eyes. "Who the hell are you?" I said. The boy looked at me. "My name's Jake." he said , with a smile. "Where did you come from?" I said wiping my sleepy eyes. "See that skate park over there?" he pointed to a skate park in the corner, attached to the community centre. "Me and my friends were on our boards and i thought I saw someone over here so I just came to take a look." I wasn't comfortable with him being here. "Well, I don't need any help." I said

I obviously needed help. No one noticed I was gone, no one cared. And I was crying , non-stop. It’s hard to answer what’s wrong when nothing’s right. I could feel my feet pumping-as if my heart were moved to the soles of them, and I had nothing left to love with. Anyways, who would love me? Crazy old me. The girl falling asleep in class because she didn’t get enough sleep-being stressed out by homework. The girl who didn’t really talk to anyone either  than her closest friends.

The guy hugged me- "I don't even know you, freak." I said pushing his hand off of my shoulder. His friends came running from the park. "What's wrong?" they all said, surrounding me. "I-i-i-kinda ran away. I slept here overnight." the guy, Jake, picked me up. They brought me over to a bench.

"What caused you to run away? " they asked. "A change in plans." I said. Jake asked if I wanted to stay at his familys house for the night- and then they would find someone for me to stay with permanetly that I would like better than my own family.

"Yeah, sure. I guess." I said, still tearing up.
