Chapter 10

That night, Takashi explained everything to his parents while Carter slept in his lap. After a while, the parents nodded, congratulated their son and future daughter before walking off to find Satoshi, who was sleeping on the floor of his game room while Ella slept on a bean bag and the ending credits rolled from a disney movie.
Takashi gently lays Carter in his bed, removing her shoes and glasses before gently tucking her in so he can make his way to the bathroom and change into sweatpants and a tanktop. By the time he comes back out, Carter is sitting up with a frown. "What's wrong?" Takashi asks, sitting next to her.
"Where is Ella?" She asks and he hums, "Mom said she fell asleep in the game room on a beanbag while watching a disney movie. So she probably has her shoes off and a blanket tossed over her while Satoshi stands guard from the floor,"
Carter nods with a yawn, whining in discomfort. "I'll get you one of my sweatshirts to sleep in," Mori says, chuckling at the grin he receives. "I will go grab you a toothbrush, you can go ahead and change,"
Carter nods again and when Mori leaves the room, she pulls off her dress and one handed unhooks her bra. As she prepares to slide the sweatshirt on, she hears the door open back up and turns around, blushing at her boyfrie-fiance.
"Beautiful in so many ways," Takashi says before his own words register in his mind and he turns a bright red while Carter slides the sweatshirt on. "I'm going to go brush my teeth," She whispers, gently taking the toothbrush from his hand and scittering to the bathroom.
Once finished, she grinned in the mirror and took a deep breath, walking out into the bedroom to see Mori laying on his back, staring at the ceiling. Carter climbs onto the bed and on top of Mori, straddling his stomach, putting her nose against his. "I love you," He whispers and she grins brightly, turning the lamp off, "And I love you,"

While her first time sleeping in a bed had been a great sleep, she had still been plagued by the nightmares of James' torture and her fathers abuse, but when she woke up this morning, with Takashi's arms around her bare waist, memories of last night cruising through her head, she sighs happily, feeling safe, at ease, and loved.
"Morning," Takashi grumbles, pecking Carters forehead and then lips. "Good morning," She whispers, nuzzling into his bare chest. "My mom is going to walk in here any minute," Takashi states and Carter giggles, "If this is your hope of her not teasing you later if she doesn't see us naked, I hate to break it to you, but you left this," She says, pointing to her upper neck where a dark hickey sat.
"She is going to tease us for weeks," He groans and she shrugs, sitting up, "It's okay, I loved it, so I see it as worth the teasing," Takashi nods, "I completely agree," With that, the two climb out of bed and head to the shower, keeping sexual interaction to a minimum since Carter was limping and they didn't want to late for school.
"You ripped my underwear," Carter laughs when she finds on the floor in nearly two pieces, holding them up and laughing at his blush. "Um, commando with your undershorts?" He suggests, holding her shorts out as he pulls out some boxers for himself.
With an eye roll, Carter nods, grabbing them and pulling them on, frowning at the idea of putting her bra back on. "I'll just... people are going to know, just saying," Carter states, pulling the sweatshirt back on over the dress and throwing her hair up in a bun. "I don't mind," He says, pulling on his blazer while Carter grins and takes over tying his tie.
"Ready for your family to tease us?" Carter asks and Mori shakes his head, "I'm ready for our family to tease us and you have complete permission to smack Satoshi, should he accidentally teach Ella a new word,"

"Akira, you owe me twenty," Ari says from the table when the couple walks down. Carter immediately getting tackled by Ella, making her let out a grunt of discomfort and surprise. "Why?" Mori asks and Carter pulls his head down to whisper in his ear, "They bet on something involving our sex life," She whispers and he turns bright red, groaning while running his hand over his face.
"Big brother got lai-," Satoshi starts, but Carters glare stops him, "Small ears," She growls, pointing at her sister who was still in last nights clothes. "Sorry," He mumbles, taking another bite of his cereal. "Ella, go finish your breakfast," Takashi says and the child whines, making grabby hands for her sister.
"She doesn't do mornings," Carter shrugs and bends down to pick up her sister, quickly standing up with Ella in her arms before Takashi can protest. "Your leg an shoulder are stil-" Mori begins and Carter sticks her tongue out at him, "In my way. They don't hurt, so stop. I can guarantee last night was more strenuous than picking up my sister,"
Ari and Akira burst out laughing as their eldest's face is hidden in his fiance's shoulder. "Anyway, what do you two want for breakfast?" Ari gasps out while her husband hides his grin behind his paper.
"Tea and maybe a piece of toast," Carter suggests, sitting down while Mori hands her a cup of tea, preparing it the way she likes and placing a piece of toast in front of her. "I guess you're heading into school in your princess dress, huh?" Carter grins, poking Ella in the side a few times until she giggles. "Yeah, be pretty at school," She states and Carter rolls her eyes.
"You're always pretty," Carter states, drinking the last sip of her tea before placing the girl on the floor and rolling her eyes as Mori assists her up from her chair. "I agree," Mori says, poking Ellas cheek. "Satoshi's limo is waiting for him and Ella, with Yasuchika," Ari says when her phone dings and then Mori's sounds off a notification. "And Honey is here as well," Carter states happily, grabbing her fiances hand.
"Carter," Ari begins, getting up and going to the girl, grabbing her free hand, "I want you to know that you're welcome here forever and always. And when you're comfortable with it, Akira and I wouldn't mind being mom and dad to our future daughter, okay?"
Carter smiles brightly and nods, leaning into the womans arms when she invites the younger in for a hug. "I'll see you again soon, okay?" Carter says, pulling away and waving to Akira and Ari.

"Wow, I think I know too much," Honey giggles when his cousin enters the car with Carter. "Unless you have a secret camera in his room and bathroom, you do not," Carter says with a blush, the other two males matching it. Mori and Carter end up telling Honey about what happened-only before and during dinner- filling him in on the new plan and engagement.
"Hikaru is going to know immediately," Carter mutters as the cousins walk her to her first class. "See you at lunch," Mori hums, looking around to make sure nobody was around before gently kissing her. "Love you," Carter hums, receiving the words back while Honey watches from the side with tears in his eyes, "Usa-chan, it's so beautiful!" He squeals, making the couple giggle.
When the two walk away, Carter takes a deep breath, stepping into class, flinching as all attention goes to her.
"You're late, Miss Mills," The teacher grumbles and Carter apologises, though the twins and Haruhi were grumbling in the back about how the teacher wouldn't have said anything if she were rich. "If you do it again, you'll spend lunch and detention in here writing lines,"
"Yes ma'am," Carter says with a bow before walking to her seat and easing down into it, instantly blushing when Hikaru stares at her with a dropped jaw. Kaoru and Haruhi knew something was going on, but they weren't completely sure what.
Throughout class, Hikaru was constantly shaking Carter awake until the bell finally rang for lunch and the twins drag the girls to the club room. "Cake!" Honey yells, walking in with Mori, both stopping when they notice the tension. "I think my brothers are scolding me," Carter pouts, scooting towards Mori and leaning against his chest.
"Do it over food, you're getting paler," Kyoya calls from his couch and Carter grumbles, plopping down next to him as he hands a plate with a sandwich on it. "I set up a doctors appointment for next week," Kyoya reveals and Carter nods, "Which doctor?" She asks and Kyoya smirks, shaking his head, "OBGYN. Who let you know whether you're suspected of endometriosis, or pregnancy since that is now a possibility,"
Everyone freezes, especially Mori, who was making eye contact with Carter. "Did you-?" She starts and Mori shakes his head, "Are you on-?" Carter also shakes her head before putting the plate down and splaying across Kyoya's lap. "I feel left out," Tamaki pouts and everyone just mutters, "It's for the best,"
