The town of Ever After is a small town in North Carolina, USA. It's very remote, and not many know of its existence. For as long as anyone can remember, there's been a saying; "Break a mirror, shatter a fairy tale." Some believe this to just be an old saying, but it's true. When a mirror is broken, a fairy tale is forgotten, amd the characters are sent to live in Ever After.

The only way to reach the Land of Fairy Tales is through a mirror, and the only way to get to Ever After from the Land of Fairy Tales is through a mirror. When a mirror is broken, the memory of a fairy tale is wiped from everyone's mind. Sometimes the memory remains, very faintly, in one person's mind. They normally are an author, and become rich and famous for the story they 'wrote'.

All of this happens due to a curse that was cast upon the Land of Fairy Tales many, many years ago. A witch heard about the land of 'no magic' as it's called. She travelled there through a mirror, and saw quite a few people break mirrors. She cast a spell upon the Land of Fairy Tales, cursing them to ne forgotten when a mirror breaks.
