We're at lunch. It's our first date. Hajime is my boyfriend.
"That's kind of an odd question... I guessed they just helped me stay positive when things got too tough."
"Yeah, but why aliens? Why not, I don't know, Godzilla or something?"
"Hajime, Godzilla's your thing! But I can tell you the story of how I came to like aliens if you want."
