Ch. 11: Wizard's Chess

~y/n POV~

I was in herbology with the twins and Hufflepuff. We've been back at school for a few weeks now, my twelfth birthday was tomorrow. I wasn't super excited if I was being honest. Although, the twins, Alicia, Lee, Angelina, Cedric, and I were all supposed to hangout. Thankfully I only had Transfigurations, DADA, and Divination so there weren't any hard classes on my birthday plus it was a Friday so that makes it better.

"Hey y/n..." I hear Fred whisper beside me.

"Hmm?"

"What are you wanting to do for your birthday? Just hangout in the common room, go to the shrieking shack? What?"

"I'm fine with hanging in the common room." I reply simply.

"Alright." He goes back to working on our assignment.

Once we leave, we all go back to our common room to work on our homework. After about 20 minutes I hear Lee groan. "Ughhhhhh how much more of thissss I want foodddd"

"Well we have about 40 minutes until dinner Lee so, 40 minutes" George says, smiling over at Lee.

"Oh my godric George your so gay!" I exclaim with a laugh.

"Am not." He fires back, laughing as well.

"Are to."

"Am not."

"Are to." We go back and fourth for a few minutes before just laughing our asses off.

"Georgie you're pretty damn gay bro." Fred says with a laugh.

"Whatever you two say." George rolls his eyes and laughs, pretending to be offended. Lee laughs right along with us and before we know it, it's time for supper.

"Welp guess we'll have to work on it later," I say getting up, "let's go get some grub boys." We all walk out and to the great hall.

We sit down in our signature spots, Lee and George across from me and Fred. We talk and eat and soon enough, we've all finished dinner and went back to the common room.

Heading for the girls dorm, I say "imma go slip into something more comfortable be back in a bit you three, don't do anything stupid." I walk to my room and quickly change into the Christmas jumper and some jeans then I walk back down to where the boys are.

"You didn't do anything stupid did you?" I ask as I walk to where we are all sitting.

"Nope. Just planned stupid shit" Lee answers.

"Okay good. Shall we hurry up and finish this homework so we can hang out, maybe play a little wizards chess or something."

"Let's get this homework outta the way." George says.

For the next 30 or so minutes we hammer down on our homework, finishing quickly so we could do something fun. Once we all finished, we grab a chess board and started playing, the first round being between Lee and me.

"I call the winner!" George says, just as we start our game.

"I'll play the loser and whoever wins that battle goes against the winner of the winner versus George game." Fred cheers.

"Oh you're so going down Jordan." I challenge as my piece takes one of his.

"I wouldn't be so sure missy." He fires back. After a few minutes I came out on top, which meant I'm going against George, this will be fun.

"Hiya Georgie, ready to go down?" I say.

"Referencing Stephen King now are we?"(Stephen King's book "IT" came out in 86, since it's past New Years, the year is now 1990 in case anyone was confused)He says, smirking slightly as Fred grabs another board to set up so he can play Lee.

"Maybeee"

"Let's get this battle started then shall we?" The battle ensues, I ultimately overtaking George.

"Ha! Two out of two boyyyyyyy. Who's the greatest? Me, I'm the greatest" I laugh as Fred sits across from me and the pieces repair themselves.

"You're gonna lose y/n/n just watch" Fred challenges.

"Mmmm no, no I don't think I will." I say, matching his energy.

"We'll see about that." For the first part of the game, it seemed as if Fred was gonna beat me. Luckily, I pulled through and beat him.

"They had us in the first half, I'm not gonna lie" George says in an announcer-like voice.

"But, George I am afraid, that we have to crown a new queen of wizards chess" Lee follows, "now, will you all please bow to your new queen. Queen y/n! The queen of Wizards chess!"

I smirk as the boys bow to me, "thank you, thank you" I do a classy wave, "Now my subjects, we must head to bed, for tomorrow is a big day" I laugh, the boys join in.

"Goodnight y/n/n" they all say as we stand.

"Night boys. See you all tomorrow" I walk to my dorm as the boys walk to theirs.

Once I enter my room, I see Alicia and Angelina are already asleep. I look at the time. 1:30 am, damn it's late. I change into my pjs and lay in bed, falling asleep rather quickly.

~Sorry for the shorter chapter. It's more of a filler than anything, I just kinda wanted to show your bond with all the boys growing stronger. Your birthday is next chapter which should be coming soon. It should be a bit of a longer chapter. Anyway enough boring stuff byee lovelies!!
