he woke up again today waiting for his lover thinking that the chances for him to return were high. maybe , maybe he was lying about not loving the person he had wished to return.
his thoughts were cut short when his friend renjun came into his room. quietly closing the door behind him as if the noise will hurt the frail boy's ears. renjun silently took a stool sitting right behind the door of the room by the wall , placing it it near the bed and taking a seat. ❝ how are you feeling now ? ❞
donghyuck just sat quietly by the window situated on the opposite to where renjun was sitting. eyes ready to melt due to the amount of tears that had flown out of it in a span of just a few hours. feeling a hand placed on his shoulder , slowly moving at the lower back to rub gentle circles on it. his crooked voice spoke out with heaviness ❝ I am fine , if I am not then I will be fine but I am alright. one day or another , I will have to be fine. he will forget to look back and I will learn to not look his way. if that is what was fated for us then why not ❞
feeling that soon his body might betray him , he got off the bed. pushing the covers off himself. donghyuck started picking his books up and settled it into his bag , getting ready for his classes and work. renjun feeling a little happy knowing his friend is wanting to pick up the remnants left in him. he too helped donghyuck collect his things. meanwhile , the other boy quietly set his glasses on the bridge of his nose.
donghyuck got into his little bathroom to wash his face and brush his teeth. heaving out a sigh filled with stress as if his chest was congested , he patted his face dry with a towel and left it on the counter before exiting the bathroom. the said boy just walked into his room and picked up his bag and looked back at renjun with a nod of his head. both of them left the room and walked out of the house silently without notifying the elders of the house.
throughout their little walk to school , donghyuck had his head down. breathing fast , heart running at the speed of an airplane. it was like as if he was trying to zoom his way to school. upon reaching the gates , he started taking his steps in reverse.
noticing the absence of his friend , renjun looked back and saw his friend standing at a deafening distance away from which made him let out a little soft grunt. ❝ let's go , hae. it is better for you to distract yourself. ❞
renjun walked back to his friend and held onto hand tightly. he started walking towards the school while dragging his friend behind him slightly.
