Infinite: Man in Love

And This is How it Begins

Author's note: Hello everyone~ Ah, I'm kind of nervous, because this is my first fanfic/wattpad work EVER!  I really hope at least someone likes it...if you read the description, you know that this will be about my favourite band, INFINITE <3 I am absolutely in love with them, and I think the bromances are adorable ^.^ If you think so too, then please, enjoy!  (P.S. before anyone gets confused by this first chapter, INFINITE started out with five members: Sunggyu, Woohyun, Myungsoo, Dongwoo, and Hoya.  Sungyeol and Sungjong are brought into the group a little later on- and this is all pre-debut!)

Myungsoo’s POV

        We fix our stares at the door in front of us, waiting with anticipation.  It’s a big moment for us all- things will never be the same after that door opens.  In any moment, our CEO will walk in with two people- two boys our age, who will stand before us, probably smiling stupidly with happiness. Why?  Because they will have just found out that they are the two who have shown enough talent. 

        The ones who are qualified enough to join our band, Infinite.

        God, it annoys me.

        They better be what I expect.  Good-looking, confident, and talented.  They better be as good as the rest of us.  If they bring our group down, then I’ll be really pissed.  I was just fine having only five people in our group…then the CEO announced that we would be getting two new members. I wasn’t the only one who was shocked.  We had all been getting ready to debut for a few months, and had grown comfortable working with only four other people.  We didn’t sign up to start working with an additional two.   I didn’t know what to think. 

        I look at the other members, and they all have the same tense posture that I do.  They too, weren’t all that happy to find out that our group would be getting bigger.  But now, all we can do is wait.  I sigh, and open my mouth to say something, when the door swings wide open.  I cough instead. 

        The CEO walks in, and crosses his arms when he sees us.  “You guys look like you were just planning a murder,” he says.  “Loosen up- you’re going to intimidate the new members.”

        At the words “new members” we tense up even further, our muscles bulging under our t-shirts.  But Sunggyu, our leader, takes a deep breath and tells us to relax.  Slowly and reluctantly, we try to assume more natural positions, and force a smile onto our faces.  Sunggyu cringes. 

        “Are you guys in pain or something?” he scolds.  “Worst expressions I’ve seen in my life…”

        Before he could continue, the CEO made a hand motion, and our new members walked into the room.

Sunggyu’s POV

        I tense up with the other members as the CEO announces that our new members have arrived.  As I look around, I see that everyone has frowns plastered onto their faces, and the veins in their arms are bulging from their tightened grips on the chairs.  I look down and notice that I too, am gripping the edge of my seat out of anxiousness, causing my whole body to tighten up.  The CEO is right- we must all look pretty intense from the way we are presenting ourselves.  I immediately try to relax, and tell the others to do the same.  They all shuffle around, trying to look more welcoming.  I wince as I see them attempting to smile warmly, for it looks more like a grimace.

        “Are you guys in pain? Those are some of the worst smiles I’ve ever seen…” I say, shaking my head.  Before I can scold them further, two figures enter my plane of view.  I snap my head back to the front of the room.
