Chapter 16
Lily's POV
One month has passed and I have been the most depressed I have ever felt. The only time I forget my worries is when I talk to Niall, which unfortunately isn't very much lately because he has been so busy. I miss him. I miss my dad. I'm still trying to rap my head around the fact that I will never see my dads face, or hear him talk to me ever again. I try and get through everything. But even my friends don't know how to act around me to make me feel better. So I have been taking matters into my own hands, or should I say wrists. I swore I would never do anything like this. But it makes me feel better in a way, like it takes away the emotional pain and replaces it with pain I can handle and control. This makes me feel good. Nobody knows I'm doing it. Now that autumn is nearing I can cover up the marks.
I've been going to work a lot and missing some days of school just to work. All I have to do now is talk to Eloise - if she will talk to me - I had a plan. I've saved enough money that I'm going to run away to England. I don't want to go by myself and I figured Eloise would want to see Harry so that's what I'm about to do. Ring my best friend.
"Hi Cathy, is Eloise there?".........
Everything was falling into place. Eloise and I had agreed to a day down in Ballarat. Well that's what we told out parents. We were all set to just jump on the plane. I had paid for our tickets online. All we had to do was get the shuttle bus to the airport. "Bye mum! See you later. I love you." I'm almost about to cry when I tell my mother goodbye. She will have no one. Hugh had gone back to NSW to be with is girlfriend Mary, and Rhys was apparently in somewhere in the Northern Territory. But I think he is meant to be home soon, which will be good. "I love you to sweet heart. Have fun. And let me know when your getting in." Mum says to me. She has been so worried after Dad and I can't blame her, but it felt like I was being suffocated. "I will, bye" I kiss her one last time before getting on the bus to join Eloise.
The plane ride was coming to an end. We were both chewing something to try and stop out ears from popping. It never worked for me though. "Ladies and gentlemen, we are about to land can you all please put your seat belts on and make sure your tray tables are up, thank you!" A woman speaks over the PA system. We do as we're told and awaited the moment when wheels touched ground.
"We did it Eloise, we actually did it!" I was smiling and about to cry. I can't believe that us, the two good girls defined parents and ran away to a different country! "I know! Thank you for letting me come. At least we are together if something goes wrong" she says "yeah... But when we turn our phones on. What are we going to say to our parents?! I mean they will be worried sick!" "Let's not worry about that, and just try and find the people we came here to see! By the way do you know their address? Because I can't remember" I laugh. Trust her to forget one of the most important pieces of information. "Yes I do. Now lets get our money exchanged and get out of here!" And with that we were off. Not caring about what would happen when we meet Harry and Niall again.
