(Blue's POV)
I awoke with a start. Sweat dripped off my forehead. I gasped for breath as I clutched my chest, my heart trying to free itself from its cage. I slowly stood up. Only to be pushed back down by the momentum of the object, of which moved up I guessed. It was dark, almost pitch black. The occasional blaring red light, blinded me on the assent upward. I searched around. 4 soils sides with a top and bottom, "I'm I'm a box." I whispered, hardly audible, "I'm in a damn, moving, box."
I clenched my eyes tightly shut, I tried to calm my breathing. 'I'm okay...' I though to myself, 'I'm...' I sat up with a start, "who am I?" My breathing roughened, ripped at my throat. Fear seeped through my veins, like poison. It searched my body, and infected every inch of it. "WHO THE HELL AM I!?!" I screamed, my voice sounded horse and drugged. "Help, please." I whimpered, I clawed myself into the corner, and shook and I cried. I looked up to the ceiling. A flat, hard, piece metal. Right where the moving box was heading. A ripping scream escaped my lips and the box screeched to a halt, making my stomach flip.
(Newt's POV)
The alarm blared around the glade. Most of the gladers just stared in boredom, "Hey Chuck!" I shouted over the alarm, the little kid with the curly mop bounced over to me, "Hi, Newt!" He responded.
"Listen," I pointed my finger up in the air, "You hear that Chuckie? You know what that means don't you?" I pat him lightly on the shoulder.
"That I'm not the shuck greenie anymore!" He smiled at himself and wandered off.
I started to make my way over to the box, has had some of the other gladers. Who where they gonna send up this time? Just a boy, sent up here. Not exactly heaven is it. I stand by the box and just wait. There is not much else to do once the alarm starts, "You okay?" Alby walks over and put a hand on my shoulder, "Yeah, well, no." I looked down at the ground, "You know how it is." I mumbled to the floor.
"Well it didn't do you much help jumping offa that shuck wall did it?" I felt his eyes trained on me. I set my gaze to the floor. Alby sighed and walked off, leaving me to my thoughts.
*10 minuets later*
The alarm stopped, leaving a ringing sensation in my ears. The box started to open, the light slowly silvered it's way into the box, causing the person inside to shield their eyes. The first thing that struck me, was the hair. Long flowing chocolate hair. I brushed the thought away.
As I jumped down into the box something struck me, 'she-' I thought, 'wait she!?' I looked over at the girl whimpering in the corner, "They are never gonna believe this..." I whispered.
"Newt, what is it?" Alby called, I looked up the they array of confused gladers, "It's a girl?" I shouted. Suddenly, the gladers erupted into argument.
"What?"
"I call dibs."
"So do I!"
"Hey!"
"Not fair."
I blocked out the sounds of the gladers and looked down at the scared girl in front of me. Then it hit me. "Blue?" I asked, "Blue, is that really you?" She looked up at me, fear laced her eyes, "I don't know," She whispered, "I don't know anything."
"Hey, it's okay, Blue," I whispered, "I'll help you remember." she looked shocked. She replied, "You remember me?"
"I would never forget you."
