The Noble Quran 4:0
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
This a story of a Filipino Muslim contemporary in this modern age. His name is Myalong, a farmer in Maguindanao. A father of three sons.
"I give my life to you Ya Allah. My life of happiness and my life of sorrow."
You have informed us of what is right and wrong. This is my guide towards you along with my family.
The Noble Quran 3:4
مِن قَبْلُ هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَأَنزَلَ ٱلْفُرْقَانَ ۗ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ ذُو ٱنتِقَامٍ
Min qablu hudan lilnnasi waanzala alfurqana inna allatheena kafaroo biayati Allahi lahum AAathabun shadeedun waAllahu AAazeezun thoo intiqamin
Aforetime, as a guidance to mankind, And He sent down the criterion [of judgement between right and wrong (this Quran)]. Truly, those who disbelieve in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, for them there is a severe torment; and Allah is All-Mighty, All-Able of Retribution.
But, Ya Allah I have a question I need your guidance, my son is asking me, "Father, my friend greets me Happy New Year. I smile but I am confuse. Is it permissible for Muslim to celebrate?"
"My son, it was said by various Muslim scholars that it is not encourage to celebrate yet I as your father don't stop you to watch fireworks outside. That is art of modernization influence of the majority but it does not imply for you to embrace such. I tell you to respect their believe and enjoy what can they offer."
