The Lonely Doctor

The Encounter

At first the day started out like any normal day for the heiress Weiss Schnee as she woke up in her dorm room and went to the bathroom to get dressed. Ruby and Yang went home to visit their father while on break, but Blake and Weiss decided to stay at Beacon. Weiss had gotten dressed and started to leave the bathroom when she started to feel her body tighten as she got dizzy.

"Blake? Can you come here?" Weiss shouted through the door. She heard footsteps before the door opened and the heiress collapsed into Blake's arms. 

Blake quickly rushed Weiss to the medical bay at the school noticing she was unresponsive. Once Blake reached the medical bay nurses came around and got Weiss to a bed and started to put in the IV to and kept her steady as they reached to the phone and called someone.

"We have a student at Beacon who collapsed and had a seizure. I know it might not be serious but we want to send here to your hospital just in case. It's Weiss Schnee." The nurse spoke over the phone before hanging up the phone and walking over to Blake.

"Is she going to be ok?" Blake asked the nurse as she looked at Weiss.

"We believe so. Vale Medical Teaching Center is going to send some people to get her so a doctor can look at her. I know the teaching part sounds bad, but they have a very good doctor there by the name of Dr. Lin." The nurse reassured Blake that Weiss would be just fine.

The ambulance arrived and Weiss was taken to the hospital as Blake called Ruby and Yang to inform them of the situation.

Dr. Lin was sitting in his office while looking at files to hire himself a team of other doctors to help him before he was called.

"Hello, if this is who I think this is I'm busy so unless you have something super important to talk about than hang up now. Also that movie night is cancelled, quite busy with my job boss." Dr. Lin spoke into his phone while looking at the next file.

"Kaiser we have another patient for you to look at. She had a sudden seizure while in her dorm room at Beacon." His boss spoke through the phone

"It's simple isn't it? She's probably epileptic, done case over." Kaiser rolled his eyes as his boss opened the door to his office as they ended the phone call.

"I doubt it, she doesn't have any medical history of seizures and she was leaving the bathroom room when it started." His boss tossed the file on the table in front of Kaiser.

"Congrats she probably has some simply infection that caused her body to freak out-" He was cut short as his boss interrupted him.

"It's Weiss Schnee" His boss said as Dr. Lin's eyes widened and he got up from his chair and left his office. 

Kaiser went down the stairs quickly and found where Weiss was. He looked at her as she was in her bed with her medical equipment attached to her. A frown came formed on Kaiser's face as he looked at the sight in front of him. He turned around and went back to his office looking at his boss. 

"I'll take the case." Kaiser said opening her file. His boss only smiled and left the room.

Kaiser called to get Weiss a room to stay in as he looked into the case. 

"No sign of previous seizures, no previous sicknesses besides some colds and she is up to date with all vaccines. A normal doctor would say she is epileptic but it wouldn't make sense. I don't have a team to help me so I have to do this alone, but a phone call for help wouldn't hurt." Kaiser reached for his phone before stopping and getting up and leaving the office and to Weiss' room.

"I need the usual tests to be run on her. I hope you all can do it? Obviously I'll do some but I need help." The nurses simply nodded and drew some blood and handed it to Kaiser.

"It's time for me to help you Weiss..." Kaiser said as he walked out of the room to go run some tests.

Ruby, Yang, and Blake all went to the hospital to check up on Weiss once Ruby and Yang arrived back at Beacon. The three quickly rushed into the first floor asking the help desk which room Weiss was in explaining that they were her teammates at Beacon.

"Second floor in room 14. Please do be careful, Dr. Lin has a very certain way of doing his job and people being in his way doesn't help." The nurse said as they nodded and quickly took the elevator to the second floor. 

As the team entered the room Weiss was waking up and looked over to them and smiled before looking around confused.

"Where are we guys?" Weiss asked as the team took seats nearby her.

"We are at the hospital Weiss. You collapsed on Blake and had a seizure, she rushed you to the medical bay and they called this place." Ruby spoke quickly being concerned for Weiss as Yang and Blake looked just as worried.

"Guys you know I'll be ok. We've had worse to deal with and that didn't stop us so what will a simple seizure do?" Weiss asked with a slight smile.

"Quite a lot...it could mean you have a tumor even. Don't worry though you don't. I ran that test while you were out." The voice said as the figure walked into the room.

"You must be my doctor then. What is the name you go by doctor?" Weiss asked with a slight smile.

"Dr. Lin, you Ms. Schnee are quite the interesting case for me to get. What could've given you that seizure and most importantly what were you doing when it happened?" Kaiser asked as he took a seat next to the bed.

"I was getting dressed and ready to start the day when my head started to ache and my body tightened up, I called for Blake and when the door opened I don't know what happened." Weiss said while looking down.

Kaiser looked at Weiss before nodding and getting up from his seat and walked over to the door. All four of them looked at him of hopes of him giving an answer out to what she was dealing with.

"Sadly I need some more time to diagnose you, but in the meantime Ms. Schnee please enjoy the food and bed here. I'll try to get you up in shape as fast as possible so you can go back to fighting for Vale." Kaiser said with a smile as he looked at her.

"Thank you Dr. Lin that makes me feel a little better being here." Weiss said while smiling back.

Kaiser left the room and sighed before pulling out his scroll and searching for a contact and calling them as he walked away.

"I need a consult for my newest case and you're my best bet for right now. I'll pay for your time here so please come out to Vale." Kaiser said through the phone before sighing by getting no answer and hanging up and walking into his office and putting his head down.
