It's hard to believe it's almost been a year,
Everytime I'm out in public your voice is all I hear.
Your favorite song still comes on the radio,
Your favorite color resides in the sky.
I see now that things change,
But I cant understand why,
I remember,
I was by your side,
I can never forget that morning,
11:54 a.m. The time you left me in mourning.
I wait here alone,
Missing you from home,
It feels like I cant breathe sometimes,
But I cant let it get me down,
We may have been close,
I remember how you hated to see me frown.
Remember how I used to write?
You loved my stories,
You always smiled so bright.
I think of that smile often,
I know I quit writing my stories,
The ones you loved so dear,
But I've begun writing them again,
And one day I'll share them,
For all to hear.
I'll see you smile,
The one that went on for miles,
When you danced and when you sang,
Even laughing in the rain.
Remember the tea party,
I'm glad you enjoyed it,
I stayed fixing drinks for everyone,
Behind the counter I could sit,
And watch the party.
I've never really been one for social situations,
But now my shell has cracked,
With all this simulation,
It wont hold me back,
I'll live on in your memory,
I'll strum onto your melody,
One day the world will see,
The kind of person you never got to be,
I'll carry you by my side,
I've just gotten to where i can sleep at night,
And dont you worry,
I'm doing fine,
I'll take care of everyone,
I know that'll make you happy.
I miss you so much,
I wish I could see you again,
I'll sit here with the patience that I've gained.
Robin if only you could see how things have changed.
I dont thing the world will ever be the same,
I see you flying through the sky,
But I cant seem to say goodbye,
It feels like your still here,
Talking merrily in my ear.
I'll be alright I swear,
I just need you to wait there.
It may be a while,
But one day I'll be by your side,
But until then I'll try,
I'll make my dream a reality,
I'm doing this for you and me,
My dreams were crushed once before,
But you have managed to set them free.
If only you could see,
The kind of person I grow up to be,
Before I go,
Just one last time,
I want to see your face,
I know the pictures by heart,
But their nothing by far,
I wish you were still here,
And I miss you dearly,
But if I am to keep on living,
I must do it for the both of us.
I'll see you again someday,
I'll carry you with me always.
