The Drama Club - A Oneus Fanfiction

Act 20

Eri walked to school and not to her surprise, everybody was looking at her. Murmurs and whipers here and there, Yoora was right. The rumours have started. She went to her locker and suddenly a girl came up to her, it was Mia.

"Good morning, Eri" Mia greeted.

"Morning! Is there a problem?" Eri asked as she scavenged through her locker, finding a textbook for the next period. She was surprised to see a note from somebody.

"Is it true? You got lock in the art supply room two days ago by Yoora?" Mia whispered.

"What even? No, I did go there but not getting locked up" Eri laughed in amusement. "Where did you even heard it from?" She continued.

"From Areum.. Thanks, I thought Yoora would go that far. See you at the club, bye!" Mia pats her shoulder and went to her group of friends.

During her trip to the class, people came up to her and asked her about it. She answered exactly what was planned. Some on them even came from Keonhee and Jun, asking her confirmation. They were executing the plan perfectly.

But some rotten eggs tried to push the question by saying why was she protecting Yoora. She is but she's not showing it. She now knew what Yoora meant yesterday. even if they didn't know the truth, they will try to bring Yoora down.

Some of the drama club members also came up to her but she denied it. Renjun, Chenle, Jaemin and others too. Even juniors came up to her.

Eri was getting tired with all these questions but she was not the only one, same goes with Jun, Keonhee, Hwanwoong and Xion. At this rate, the rumours will definitely stop because the victim denies it.

There were few names that came up on the list of suspects, but the most was Areum and Sohee. Eri doesn't know who they were but they're spreading the rumours fast.

In class, Eri and Jun greeted each other. "Hey, it's not even hours but rumours are spreading fast" Eri started.

"I know right! I heard because it already spreaded in social media" Jun answered.

"Really?!" How could Eri forgot that social media existed. She immediately opened her phone and switched to her private account. The timeline full of people bad-mouthing Yoora but some are even protecting her by saying Eri denies the allegation.

Eri decided to post a statement to clear the air.

"Please refrain from spreading such things without proof. I did went to the art supply room but I didn't get locked up. Please stop! Yoora didn't do anything!"

"Are you sure that's going to work?" Jun asked.

"Why wouldn't? I'm the victim in this, they will be dumb if they don't believe me" Eri shrugged. It was rare for Eri to post anything on social media so most people immediately took her seriously.

There are a few comments that said "Eri is doing this just because Yoora threatened her!" one caught her eyes.

"Jun, I believe we have found our culprit" Eri smirked as she showed the comment to Jun. She clapped her hands looking at it.

Recess already arrived and Eri thanked her friends for using their energy to try and stop the rumours.

"It was nothing, really" Keonhee proudly said.

"Yea, right. The whole dance club asked me and Jun about it" Hwanwoong sighed and Jun nodded while holding up her hand, acting as if it was tiring.

"I got asked by the whole school" Eri raised an eyebrow, playfully.

"This is a competition now?" Keonhee chuckled and grabbed Eri's fries. Eri didn't mind but she spotted someone walking in the cafeteria.

"Oh, there's Xion. I need to thank him also" Eri shyly rose from her seat and the other three cooed at her. A dash of faint red creeped on her face.

Xion noticed Eri was walking towards him and he tilted his head in confusion. Giwook and Dongmyeong turned their head and immediately made a face at Xion.

Eri felt embarrassed seeing multiple pair of eyes on her but she needed to do this. She patted Xion's shoulder lightly "Xion.. I wanted to thank you for helping me" and smiled at him.

Xion bashfully smiled back "It's alright."

"Hey, is it true-" Dongmyeong opened his mouth but quickly got shut by Giwook's hand.

"Really Myeong?" Giwook shook his head.

"Just kidding.. Sorry, Eri" Dongmyeong scratched his nape.

Eri giggled and Xion pouted as he was jealous that Eri laughed at his brother's antics. Eri noticed the pout and ruffled his hair. Xion grew redder while Giwook and Dongmyeong awed at the interaction. Eri bid them goodbye and also to her friends.

"Where are you going?" Jun asked.

"Meeting somebody at the volleyball court" She answered. The trio looked at her with curiosity.

"Alright, I'm here. Areum.. " Eri didn't smile, looking at Areum. Can't believe she was the one that locked her in, Eri felt happy for thinking Yoora was innocent this whole time.

"Why did you deny it, Erim?! Don't you want to see Yoora suffer?" Areum didn't have any politeness, only anger fueled in her.

Eri explained briefly. "Yoora suffered enough, I have no gain from doing this.. You too. Why did you do it?"

"Because Yoora hates you, that's why. So I thought maybe I could frame her and you would join too" Areum couldn't calm herself down, the amger was still present.

"What if not anymore?" Suddenly a new person came into the court. The sound of heels getting closer to them. It's none other, Bae Yoora.

Areum and Eri both look at her with shock. Did they heard it right?

"Areum. My dear- Sorry.. I cannot say it or I will puke. After what Eri did, why would I hate her? In fact, I'm grateful.. " Yoora genuinely smiled at Eri and scowled at Areum.

"You better scram off before I do something to you way worse than you did" Yoora threatened and it sent chills to the both of them.

Areum gulped and scurried off, exiting the building. Yoora sighed "She was always fake, I'm even not surprised."

Yoora turned towards Eri and bowed. Eri panicked inside a little and told her not to.

"I'm sorry for everything I did, even after what I did to you, you still helped me? Please forgive me." Yoora said as she felt her eyes brimming with tears, she was touched by Eri's effort to stop the rumours. Yoora never thought the day of her apologising will arrive, but she was determined to make a change.

Eri thought for a bit "It's okay, I forgive yoy. I want you to change for the better, please.."

"Thank you so much! I will try my best to change!" Yoora exclaimed. Eri smiled fondly at her, the whole school now needs to see Yoora with a new light.

Yoora continued "Let's get out of here.." and Eri agreed. The schoolbell rang, indicating their recess was already over.

"How did you even managed to find me?" Eri asked.

"Easy, I followed Areum" Yoora giggled. "Also, this might be stupid.. Are we friends, Erim?"

Eri grinned and put her hand on Yoora's shoulder, "Yea. And call me Eri!"

Yoora have never felt a sudden rush of excitement in a long time. She wanted to hug Eri but held herself. She also recalled something and giggled, she whispered "Eri, I won't bother you with Xion anymore. Go get him."

"Yoora!" Eri called out and saw Yoora running to her class. Her cheeks felt hot and went to her own class. Seeing Jun already eyeing her with interest. Eri quickly went to her seat beside Jun, she was thrilled.

"You wouldn't believe this.."
