How many times do i have to tell you she's moved on Jackson? Get out" I yell , swinging open the door .
He keeps standing there , holding on to the stair rail. "No Braylen, i want to see her. I want to talk to her!"
He attempts to walk up the stairs but i grab onto the back of his shirt and pull him back towards me.
"Jackson get out, now. You don't get to cheat and come back expecting her to let you in with forgiveness. This is me stopping you, good-bye."
He finally leaves, i wave bye sweetly before slamming the door and locking it. I turn around to find Leah, standing at the top of the stairs.
"Niceeee Sis. Real nice" she says with sarcasm
"Uh hello. You don't need him, and you know it. I just did you a big favor, you know that Leah"
She nods lightly and sighs a little before walking down the stairs. She knows i'm right she's just in denial since her and Jackson were together for 8 months and she really loved him but he screwed up and i had to protect my little sister in instict.
I know Leah is 18 and technically old enough to handle herself but i'm 21 and so i'm offically an adult and with her living with me , i rule her.
Me and Leah have lived together, alone for a little over a year now . Our parents died in a fire when i was 20 and Leah was at the end of her 16th year . I had already moved out when the accident happened, So i had to become Leah's legal gaurdian with her only being 16 and she moved in with me.
She can leave now, since she's 18 but she isn't ready for the real world on her own and chooses to stay with me for a little longer.
The whole accident lives in her memory, unfortunately she lived the experience with my parents, she just happened to live . It's something she doesn't like to talk about though.
"Braylen, brett is here!" Leah yells from the livingroom
"Hey sweetheart" he steps in the door and kisses my forehead.
"Leah" he nods , she nods in return.
Brett is my boyfriend and has been for 2 years now, he's charming and handsome and everything i could ever want.
"You know all of this is so overwhelming" Leah sighs, looking down at her thumbs as we eat dinner , well delivery pizza.
"What do you exactly mean by 'all of this'?" Brett throws in at her.
"You know, me and Jackson, college decisions, career decisions."
Leah is beyond talented, her voice is so so good. She's truly an amazing singer. She's also a straight A student who has been offered a few full scholarships into colleges , and with 2 months of school left she needs to be making a decison fast, the trouble is she has no clue what she wants.
"Leah everything will come to you, don't force decisions because you're in panic. Because the truth is , the best things come to You."
"Uh - yeah with work . Braylen don't put it in her head that good things are handed to you for free, that's definately not the way this world works. With hard work and time things may come , but do not expect them to just show up on your doorstep Leah"
