Ryan's pov
It was like any other day. I woke up, did all my personal hygiene, threw on my uniform, had breakfast and headed down to the police station where I worked.
"Morning, Detective Ryan." Cora greeted me with a smile.
"Good Morning, Cora." I said running my hand through my snow white hair, keeping a straight face.
"The commissioner told me to give you these." Cora said handing me a yellow case folder after I had sat down at my desk.
"The Reaper case?!" I asked raising an eyebrow.
"Yes, as you know The Reaper is an unnamed assassin who earned their name by assassinating over 10,000 targets. The ministry of defence contacted us after hearing about your skills and want you to find The Reaper to offer them a job to assassinate the unidentified creature that has terrorised Russia and half of Japan." Cora explained, "If you succeed you will be offered a job at the ministry and 100,000 Yen will be transferred to your bank account. It includes travelling to different continents but The Reaper is believed to be a resident here in Tokyo. So do you accept the proposal?"
I sat there silent for a while staring at Cora with my green eyes but eventually answered, "I accept."
"Great! You have been granted a day off, you begin your search tomorrow." Cora said and I left the building, to do some research.
