Hiii! Ok this is my first proper book (my last one failed) and I hope you like it!:)
Mason college. My home.
We were moving back there from summer and I was sooooo excited to see Rita again. She was my best friend, and I hadn't seen her for a whole 7 weeks, because she went to Australia for the summer. She has family over there and they're super rich. She met Beyoncé through them. No joke.
I couldn't wait to see her again, and just get back to normal college life. Working, free periods, and parties. This year though, it was even better. In your second year you get to live in a house. With your friends. Do you understand what I'm trying to say?
HOUSE PARTIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me and Rita have always had our fantasies of our very own house party. Everyone would come, including the popular people. All the hot boys would be dancing with Rita, and Zach would be wishing to date again her again. Then they'd have this big renunion and they'd dance the night away! (cringy... I know)
I'd be left waiting there, sitting by myself, when none other than Josh Hutcherson, Olly Murs, Darren Criss, and Mr. ZAC FREAKING EFRON would walk in. Then they'd all come and dance with me..... and Zac would take off his shirt.
But that's just a fantasy.
Anyway, I coudn't contain my excitment on meeting Rita again. I had to text her at least once every 5 minutes on the train. She replied the same amount of time as me though, I counted :)
Once i stepped off the train, I saw the building. I was flooded with happiness. Mason college kind of looks like Hogwarts, with its castle like shape, but that's not the only reason I like it. Mason College is the best place in the world. It is the only place, I actually feel like i belong. I've made friends here. I've had mini boyfriends. I have important experiences, And I feel people want me here. At home... it's different. It never felt like me. No regrets, this is my home now.
People were walking to the building of the college, but I knew where to go. I went in the opposite direction, towards the woods.
Once I got to the bench, I sat down. It brings back so many memories being here. This is where I first met Rita. She was drunk, and needed help getting back to her dorm, and I did just that. But this is where she collapsed, not being able to move and where we talked about ourselves. I knew from that moment, that she would be my friend for a long, long time.
Ever since, this place is where we meet, for any situation.
I walked to the tree by the bench, and saw the familar carving; 'Chan Chan and Ray Ray forever.' It made me smile just looking at it.
Then I heard footsteps behind me. First quiet, but then getting louder and louder. Then they stopped. "Looking for someone Miss Bing?" I heard the familar friendly voice. I turned around and there she was. Brighter, and wayyyy more tanned. I squealled. She squealled. We ran into a massive hug, laughing and giggling.
"Oh my gosh, I haven't seen you in ages!!"
"I know! How have you been?"
But before she could reply, she gave me 'the look'. And I knew what to do. We split apart from the hug, and waved our arms in the air, like octupuses. Then we did the familar move of the sixties, where your hands do the scissors shape, and you run them over your eyes. Then we high five each other, up high, and down low. Then we bang bums, and burst into giggles.
"Haha, how I've missed you Chan Chan." Rita said, collapsing on the bench.
I smile. " You too Ray Ray."
You may want to know why we have those nicknames. Friends has always been Rita and mine's favourite tv show. And because Bing is my surename and Chandler is my favourite character, it's only fair if I get my nickname after him. And Ray Ray for Rita because, she is the exact clone of Rachel. It's actually kind of scary how similar they are.
"So, tell me everything. About our holiday" I say
She blushes. "Well.... I met someone."
My eyes light up. "What?! Tell! Tell me everything!"
"Ok. He's 19, name is Max and... HE'S A SURFER!!!"
She shouts the last bit, as we both collapse into laughter. An australian hot surfer. What could be better?
"Rita, you don't know how lucky you are! I'm so jealous!" I say
"I know.. But i'm not exactly going to see him often. I mean he's halfway round the world!"
"I know but you'll make it work."
She smiles. "I hope."
After we catch up, we decide we shoould go sign in at the reception. Walking towards the building, I see familar faces. Some I wave to, some don't get a wave. (**cough cough Ashley Sanders) But it's nice to see everyone again, so I don't bother being irritated by Ashley's pretty face.
We line up at the reception. This is where we will get the keys to our house.
The line is quite long, so by the time we get to the desk, I have been at the college for over an hour now.
The woman smiles at us, and asks for our names.
"I'm Rita Vaughn, second year, and I am 18.
"I'm Mollie Bing, second year, and I am also 18."
The woman frowns and looks at me.
"Mollie Bing?" She asks again.
I nod.
The woman fiddles with some paper and says "I'm sorry girls, if you'll excuse me for a minute."
Me and Rita look at each other and frown.
The woman goes behind some doors and is gone for a couple of minutes.
I let my eyes wander, and see two boys walk out some other doors. One I vaguely recognise, and one I DEFINITELY recognise.
Jamie Butler. The meanest man slut there is. He has sex with all the girls in college, even Rita. She was drunk when they did it, so she says she didn't want to carry on, but he wasn't going to carry on anyway, because he is a MASSIVE MAN SLUT. He's arragont, cocky and annoyingly good-looking. He has brown hair, beautiful green eyes, and pale white skin. And his arms, oh his arms! They look like they were carved by angles. Yes this sounds weird. Angels carved his arms. But I'm being totally serious. They are beautifuly strong. Amazing biceps, and when he flexis them, some girls actually faint. Like physically faint. It's actually worrying.
As I look at him, he notices me, and stares. The boy next to him also looks at me, and whipsers something in Jamie's ear. I quickily look away.
The woman comes out the doors again and sits down at her desk. "Sorry about that girls, we are having some dificulties." She says.
"Please may you just give us the key?" Rita says impatiently.
"I'm afraid, we've got a bit of a problem."
I frown. "What?"
She runs a hand through her hair and says; "I'm sorry girls, it doesn't look like you'll be able to share a house together."
We both look shocked. "What?! How come??" Rita says
"Erm, some people, we think, aren't a good idea to live together... so we have decided to swap some people up a bit." She says.
"Like who?!" I ask. l
She says nothing, but looks at the boys by the door. That is Jamie and his little friend. Jamie looks at me and smirks.
Oh god.
