Third persons POV;

The next morning was quiet busy. Sam and the rest of the boys were busy helping Elijah and Gabe set up the fighting arena whilst Kiera, Gabrielle, Chloe and Ella helped Sophia prepare meals and beverages for the coming guests who were arriving soon to witness the fight.

Walking down the stairs and into the kitchen, Allison began to prepare breakfast for her mate who was up all night in his office taking and making phone calls to Alphas across the country who were extremely excited to have the opportunity of being able to witness such an event. It's not often Lunas are challenged for their position and when the situation like this occurs, everyone is basically ecstatic to be present for it.

After preparing some breakfast which consisted of an omlet, french toast and some orange juice, Allison made her way to her mate's office. Knocking on the door, she waited patiently. "Come in" the loud voice of Jackson came from the other side of the door and carefully Allison entered the room, making sure she didn't drop the breakfast in the process.

"Thought you might be hungry" she gave a slight smile as she placed the tray on the pine desk before Jackson.

"Actually I'm starving" he replied as he pulled her down upon his lap and placed a light kiss on her lips. "Thank you baby" he whisperd in her ear before she pecked his lips again and raised from his lap. A low cough from behind her made Allison turn around almost immediately in shock. Placing her hand over her beating heart, she took a deep breath as she laid eyes upon the male seated on the couch that was placed against the wall.

"Mr. Hastings, you scare me" she whispered out with a slight laugh. Jace on the other hand didn't laugh or break eye contact with his son's mate. Instead he gave her a polite smile as he continued to study her, gazing his eyes over her, from her facial expressions to her body language in an attempt to study her. For some reason Allison always felt uncomfortable around this man, not knowing what his true intentions were. Feeling his mate's uncomfort, Jackson gave his father a warning glare which didn't go unnoticed by Allison.

"Mmm...I'll just see myself out. It was nice to see you again, Mr. Hastings" she answered with a polite nod as she made her way towards the door.

"Wait" Jackson called out as she turned around and looked back at him. She watched as he gave his father a look, not really knowing what it meant but it was clear that he was mind linking him when Mr. Hastings gave a slight nod of his head as he turned to Allison.

"Please, sit" Jace suggested to Allison who looked at her mate for reassurance. Smiling back at her, Jackson gestured to the seat that was placed before the desk before he went back to completing his breakfast.

"So Allison, tell me a little more about yourself. I mean, you have been here over a month and I get the impression that there's not much I know about my son's mate" Jace asked, a little too curious for Allison's liking.

"Well, Mr. Hastings..."

"Please, call me Jace" she as cut off by the former Alpha as she looked over at her mate. Jackson understood that Allison was still yet to get familiar with his father's old fashion and usual ways but he himself was curious to find out more about her.

"Well Jace, there's not much to know. I am the youngest of six children and the only girl. My parents died when I was little so my brothers basically raised me" she replied.

It was true. Everything she said. She just hoped that Jace wouldn't get too caught up in knowing her complete background and forcing her to reveal things she has yet to tell her mate. But that answer alone was the only thing Jace needed to bring up the conversation he truly desired to have with Allison.
