Who am I? The better question was who was I, and why am I seventeen centuries old, but still possessing the body of a 23 year old. I have borne many names, but the first is Michael of Dunidien, Son of Eridan, the seafarer.
We were a wealthy family in a desolate isle, newly conquered by the Romans. Our people suffered little, but were still infuriated. My father however took my family to Rome, for me and my sister Avalon to get an education. We quickly learned that the Chinese were more educated, and in my late teens, my sister and I traveled to China, and were taught by the best scholars of the age. I say we, but the scholars would not teach my sister, so I took the responsibility unto myself, and taught her nightly. After acquiring all the knowledge that China had to offer, my sister and I traveled back to Rome, and took it upon ourselves to start a business.
