HE KNEW THERE WAS NO WAY HE COULD AVOID HER NOW,
so he answered her to stall her till he found a way to hide Sydney
"I'm fine Lara just some work related stress.. I'm on a call babe so wait while I finish this, will you!"
He yelled as he struggled with holding Sydney down while she tried to break out from his hold.
As seconds passed the struggle got more violent and to stop her from exposing him he smashed her head on top of the bar table and she started losing consciousness.
He then carried her and hid her under the bar table and tied her hands and legs with a cable cord that he found nearby and stuffed her mouth with the table cloth.
Erik stood up and straightened his wrinkled suit and tidied himself before letting his wife walk in his office.
"I'm sorry for keeping you long darling but this new deal coming in got me all worked up and you know how my anger flares when I don't get what I want.."
He spoke with a sigh and his wife, Lara nodded and checked him for any injuries
"thank god you didn't hurt yourself! And call someone to pick those glass shards before they can hurt you."
She exaggerated as she scanned his face and saw the breathless look
"you should take a brake Erik! Like seriously look at you... This deal got you so worked up for no reason on fucking Christmas Eve! You need to prioritize your health more honey."
Lara voiced her thoughts at him and he smiled at her
"my dear loving Lara... How would I manage without you."
He then took her by surprise by enveloping her in his arms and she melted in the embrace.
Lara was a kind woman for being a rich man's wife.
She was a decent lady who loved her husband with all her heart and thought that her husband did the same....
But she was wrong and she never really got to know that until last month when she received a letter with pictures.
They were of his affairs and the letter was written by someone who wanted to help her get justice for the betrayal her husband gave her for all these years of devotion for him, her heart was shattered as she read the reason for why he had not left her yet....
It was just to show the society and his partners in the firm on how decent of a man he was.
Lara was furious with this revelations about him and was not going to leave the man who had just used her as a cover up for his real face.
As she stood silent in his arms she thought about how the next few hours were going to change everything for her and the shitty man she had for a husband.
Erik thought about how he would send her back to the party so he could do something about the girl who he had hidden under his bar table.
If she ever went out his squeaky clean image could be stained and he certainly did not want that.
As he stood in the long embrace along with his wife, she was the first one to separate and she gave him a small smile as she then walked towards the bar
"well it's Christmas Eve so let's have a drink!"
She suggested and Erik quickly grabbed her arm and yanked he'd towards himself.
He did not want her to find out about the girl under the table so he did what he could think of at that moment
"honey I think we should join everyone above as I have to make a toast and then we should head back home... You know.... Only you and me tonight Hmmm... "
He whispered as he planted small kisses on her jawline and slowly kissed her on the lips.
She kissed him back and broke it as she then grabbed his hand and guided him out the door to the floor above
"best not waste time then ... Don't you agree?"
She said with a seductive tone and he nodded with enthusiasm.
