“Hey there Harry, what’s it like in New York City? I’m a thousand miles away, but boy, tonight you look so pretty. Yes you do, Times Square can’t shine as bright as you. I swear it’s true.”

Louis stares off into the dark navy blue new years night, watching the stars twinkle without a care in the world. His hand rests on his swelling stomach carrying a tiny life that in a few hours will be brought to life. Tears start to swell up in Louis’ eyes, he didn’t know this was going to happen. He didn’t know that the father of his baby would leave him all alone to deal with the pregnancy alone. He thought he would be loyal, that he would take responsibility for the life growing in his stomach.

Louis stares at the blinking stars in the sky that give him comfort through the long nights. He wonders what he did to deserve this. Tears roll down his cheeks thinking about the father of his baby. Rubbing small circles on his stomach, he whispered soothing words to the 9 month old life in his stomach that he can’t wait to hold. “I’ll love you forever,” he whispers, letting more tears roll down his tanned cheeks. He didn’t know that his ex-boyfriend was forced to do things that he didn’t want to do.

“Hey there Louis, don’t you worry about the distance. I’m right there if you get lonely, give this song another listen, close your eyes, listen to my voice, it’s my disguise. I’ll be at your side. Hey there Louis, I know times are getting hard, but just believe me, boy someday I’ll be right there next to you and Delimar. We’ll have it good, we’ll have the life we knew we would. My word is good.”

Harry didn’t want to leave his ex-boyfriend alone to care for a tiny baby, in fact, he didn’t want to do anything that he was told to do. He was told that he can’t have contact with his baby. He was told that he couldn’t date Louis anymore. He was told that if he mentioned a word to Louis about this, he would surely regret it the rest of his life.

His eyes meet the Times Square clock. Everyone is counting the seconds to the new year, but he knows that Louis already did it without him. He feels arms wrap themselves around his waist. The blonde, blue eyed girl he is forced to be with for the time being. He would admit that she was an amazing person, most of the time, but he didn’t want to be with her at all. He wanted his boyfriend that was carrying their child, Delimar.

The clock shined in his eyes, watching it flick to the last second. He felt a pair of hands drag his head to the side. Smooth lips touched his, and the flickering of cameras immediately went off. Harry wanted to cry his eyes out. He can’t believe what was happening to his life. It was being controlled by people he didn’t like. He wiped the tear that was threatening to fall.

“Hey there Harry, I’ve got so much left to say. If every simple song I wrote to you would bring you back to me, I’d write it all. Even maybe in love with me you’d fall, and have it all.”

Louis climbs into the hospital bed, still rubbing his stomach. In minutes he’ll see his baby girl, Delimar. He didn’t want to say it, but maybe it was for the best that Harry wasn’t around. Maybe he could just ask to be out of the band to be with his daughter. Louis knows running away from your problems isn’t good, but he does have reasons.

Through the door, doctors come in and start to wheel Louis away to a delivery room. He had agreed to a c-section for his baby to come out the healthiest. Walking by his side, Niall -who is going to be the Godfather- grips Louis hand, squeezing it lightly. The doctors prep everything and now comes the delivery.

Feeling pressure on his stomach, they start cutting away at the skin to deliver the baby. Niall watches in amazement. In a matter minutes, Delimar’s high pitched scream rings into the ears of everyone in the room. Everyone smiles as Niall cuts the cord connecting Delimar and Louis. Louis however, feels his tears falling out of his eyes. It’s a mixture of sadness, happiness, and anger. It could be the leftover hormones in his body, but he knows that he is still mad about Harry leaving him alone with their daughter when he promised he would raise her with Louis -together.

“A thousand miles seems pretty far, but they’ve got planes and trains and cars. I’d walk to you if I had no other way. Your friends would all be angry at us and we’ll just ignore them all because we know, that none of them have felt this way.”

Harry unlocked his lips from the girl next to him and felt the overwhelming feeling of sadness and anger take over him. He stares at the clock that is lighting up bright, mocking Harry in every way. He sniffs thinking about Louis and his daughter cuddling at night without him. How could have he been so stupid?

“Harry I can’t promise you that by the time we get through, our world will never ever be the same and you’re to blame. Hey there Harry, you be good and don’t you miss me, two more years and you’ll be free from the world and I’ll be raising a kid all alone.”

Louis holds his newborn baby in his arms. He starts to feel overwhelmed at how much she looks like Harry. Her green eyes stare into Louis’ blue eyes. Her hair is brown and lightly thinned on her head. Louis lays a small kiss on her forehead, wishing Harry would be here. Niall stands next to them, smiling his cheeks off. He can’t believe he’ll have a chance to help Louis with his new Goddaughter, but he can’t help to think, where’s Harry?

“I know it’s all because of me we can’t do whatever we want to. Hey there Louis here’s to you. This one’s for you.”

Harry stands outside the hotel that he’ll be spending the night with his “girlfriend”. He can’t do it, he knows he can’t. All he wants is his Louis and his daughter to be in his arms. He hears the paparazzi behind, asking questions about him and his “girlfriend’. He knows that she was forced into this as well. Harry looks at her in approval, and all she does is nods. He walks to the paparazzi and start confessing everything, while Louis sits in his hospital bed with their daughters completely oblivious to what is happening, but soon enough, they’ll be together.

“Oh it’s what you do to me. Oh it’s what you do to me Oh it’s what you do to me. Oh it’s what you do to me. What you do to me.”
