Hikari
I put myself between my classmates and the villains. I could put up a shield if they tried to attack and protect everyone, but I had to make sure everyone was close together behind me if that happened. Mandalay and Tiger stood in front of all of us, trying to protect us.
"My name is Spinner," the lizard guy said, unraveling his sword, which was really just a bunch of swords and daggers stuck together.
Everyone! Mandalay's voice echoed in my head. She was using her quirk to talk to everyone. Two villains attacked us. It's possible there are more coming. Everyone, return to camp immediately. We're regrouping. Do not engage any enemies.
She turned to us. "Get back to the facility and regroup with your classmates. If you run into any villains, do not engage. Class rep, you're in charge on the way there. Me and Tiger will stay here and hold these villains off."
Iida nodded. "Right. Class A! Back to camp! Hurry!"
We all started running, but Midoriya just stood there.
"Midoriya!" Iida said, stopping.
"Go on without me," Deku said. "Mandalay! I know where Kota is!"
I stopped. Kota. The little boy who hated all of us because we wanted to be heroes. I remembered him. Did he get lost somehow?
Midoriya ran off, in front of us, and we all followed. Then Deku split off a different path through the trees, and I stopped everyone.
"Get back to camp," I ordered. "Iida, I'm going with Midoriya. If Kota's in trouble, I can protect them both with my quirk and get them back to camp. Make sure everyone gets back safely. I'm counting on you!"
Then I followed the path Midoriya took, ignoring Iida's shouts.
If Kota was in danger, it might be too late. Midoriya would obviously get there before me, because his quirk could make him move much faster than me. And the surgery on my lungs limited how long I could run, so it might be a while before I caught up to him.
Eventually, I made it to a cliff. It wasn't very large, but it went straight up. I wondered if Midoriya was up there. If he wasn't, as least I could have a good vantage point and be able to see what was happening in the forest.
I closed my eyes and focused. A shield appeared below me, and I willed it to take me up. After a few seconds, I opened my eyes and saw the cliff side zooming towards me. I got to the top, stepped off, and gasped at what I saw.
Midoriya was bleeding and his arm was messed up. A villain stood over him, his arms covered in red muscles. The boy Kota was watching in fear on the ground. He let out a small whimper when he saw me.
"Midoriya!" I shouted, rushing towards Kota. "What are you doing? Mandalay told us not to engage..."
Then I realized what had happened. The villain must've tried to attack Kota, and Midoriya was forced to fight back.
"Get Kota away from here," Midoriya said, facing the villain.
"I'm not just going to leave you here!" I exclaimed, crouching down next to Kota. "Everything's going to be fine," I said gently. "Can you-"
"KAZEN-" Midoriya started, and I knew something was wrong the instant he said the 'k' in my name.
I quickly put up a shield around me and Kota and gasped as it broke from the impact of the man's punch. His hand bounced back and he grinned. "Nice quirk you got there. Not very strong, though, is it?"
"Leave them alone!" Midoriya shouted, charging the villain.
I watched them battle for a moment before turning back to Kota. "Can you stand?"
