Hikari
"What about me?" Bakugo shouted, clenching his fists.
"We'll surround you as we walk," Todoroki said.
"I don't need any of your protection, da**it!" he yelled as we started walking.
"Just make sure you keep up," Todoroki said, taking the boy back from me.
"Don't tell me what to do!" he said angrily.
I pressed my hand against my ribs as we walked. They were starting to hurt, and it was a good thing we were walking instead of running now.
After a little while, we came across another small clearing and we saw Ochaco and Tsuyu fighting a girl who I assumed was another villain. Tsuyu was stuck to a tree and Ochaco was bleeding from her arm and her leg.
"Ochaco!" I shouted.
"Quick, help her!" Tsuyu shouted at us, and I put a shield between them and the villain as she jumped away.
"There's too many people here and I don't feel like getting killed tonight," she said. "Tootles."
We all rushed over to them and Tsuyu helped her up. "Are you guys hurt?" I asked worriedly. "I noticed you're bleeding, Ochaco."
"I'm fine. I can still walk okay," she said.
"We're protecting Kacchan and trying to get back to camp," Midoriya said. "Join our group. We could use you guys."
Tsuyu tapped her chin. "If you're protecting Bakugo, then why isn't he with you?"
Panic seized me and I whirled around. Bakugo was gone, and so was Tokoyami.
"I took your little friend with my magic," a voice said.
We all looked up and I saw a man standing in a nearby tree, throwing and catching a blueish marble.
"Give him back!" Midoriya growled.
"Give him back?" the villain asked. "What an odd thing to say. Bakugo doesn't belong to anyone. He's his own person. Don't be so arrogant."
"We'll stop you!" Midoriya shouted.
"Right now!" Todoroki said, shoving forwards as ice snaked across the ground and shot towards the villain.
"Why the aggression?" the villain questioned, easily dodging Todoroki's ice. "We merely wish to show him that there are options besides the fanatical of heroism he's drowning in."
He landed in a nearby tree and spread his arms. "It's important to choose a path that aligns with your core values, after all."
Flames began flickering along my arms. "It's not just Bakugo, you guys. It's Tokoyami, too."
"Take this guy from me," Todoroki said, shrugging off the boy he took from me. I caught him and he ran forwards, launching a huge slab of ice at the villain.
"My apologies," the villain said, flying through the air. "But slight of hand and escapology are my expertise, not combat."
Then he started running away.
"That coward!" I shouted, and I started running, handing the boy off to Ochaco. "They are not taking them from us!"
My classmates followed me after the villain.
"Da**it, this guy's quick," Todoroki said.
"If only Iida were here!" Ochaco said, dragging the unconscious boy behind her.
"We can't give up now," Midoriya said. "We have to get our friends back!"
"He keeps getting farther ahead," I said. "Soon we'll lose him."
