{Joeys Pov}
Shane wheeled me into a room filled with ten other patients, and then nurses.
Shane pointed to people and spoke-
Shane: That's David.
He pointed to a dark featured male, who was skinny and had attached himself onto another male, complimenting him.
Shane: That's Sawyer
He pointed to the male being complimented wildly, smirking.
Shane: That's Meghan
He pointed to a girl with dyed blonde hair, who was sitting in one of the corners playing a Nintendo game. She had a nurse beside her trying to convince her to socialize, but she kept shaking her head 'No'.
Shane: That's Connor
He pointed to a male with hair that looked similar to my own. Connor seemed to be counting something on his hands, maybe lines or something, and then recounting them.
Shane: That's Alexis
He pointed to a girl who was clearly the youngest of us all. She too had cuts down her arms and wore a dead expression on her face.
Shane: That's Luke.
He pointed to a male who seemed about my age. He was sitting in an opposite corner of Meghan, with his arms crossed and his body facing the corner as if he was in time out free willingly.
Before Shane could point out another person, I stopped him.
Joey: I'm not as crazy as these people. Why am I here? Do you think I'm crazy? This is my only insanity.
Shane shook his head.
Shane: No. I think you're just sick. You'll probably get out of here quicker than I ever will. I have been here for six months.
I looked up at him, over my shoulder.
Joey: I don't think you're crazy either.
Shane: No?
He asked more of a question than statement.
Joey: I think you're just sad because you cared too much. You loved and you lost. I think you're just tired.
Shane looked at the ground.
Shane: I have been tired for a long time. They just won't let me out.
Joey: I know, I'll probably be stuck in this hospital for ever too.
Shane: I wasn't talking about this mental asylum.
I just nodded, because I didn't understand then, but I understood now.
Shane: One day I'll get out of here, but I'll never be able to escape what's inside of me.
Shane started to point out more people.
Shane: That's Zoella.
He pointed to a beautiful girl who stood in front of a large antique-y looking morrow that hung on the left wall of the room. She was whispering compliments to herself and adjusting her hair into a perfect bun on the top of her head.
If she wasn't crazy I would find her attractive.
And if I was straight.
Shane: That's Tyler.
He pointed to a colorful haired boy who was whispering things to himself, like almost everyone here, and having a heated conversation with himself.
Shane: That's Troye...
He pointed to a male who was watching everyone and peering over his shoulder constantly.
Shane: And that's Jenn...
Jenn was another young looking girl. She was sitting with her knees to her chest on the couch and plugging her ears and closing her eyes.
Joey: Who the hell is in charge here? This is total mayhem and everyone still looks crazy to me.
Shane: This is like, social hour. The nurses are suppose to try to leave us alone to try to socialize unless we are killing each other. Obviously no one really is socializing.
All of the sudden the male that Shane said was, uh, Sawyer, walked up to us, with David clinging to his arm.
Sawyer: Well, isn't someone getting a lot of attention.
Sawyer said in a sassy voice.
Shane: Well, aren't you going to introduce yourself to Joey?
Shane asked Sawyer.
Sawyer: Aren't you going to compliment me first? God I swear all the attention whores up here and I'm getting none of it, it's pissing me off.
Shane: You...look nice?
Sawyer: Well thank you! I know! Compliment me some more!
Shane: As much as I would love to,
Shane said in a sarcastic tone, rolling his eyes,
Shane: I gotta introduce Joey to people.
He rolled me over to the guy named Luke. He stopped me a couple feet away from Luke, who was sitting in the corner still. He walked over to Luke and started whispering to him, and Luke slowly stood up and turned around. He was pretty attractive, and had his arms crossed and was looking at his feet.
Luke: Hi, I'm Luke.
He whispered in a raspy voice.
Joey: Hi! I'm Joey!
He looked up at me surprised.
Luke: You're really skinny.
He surprisingly picked up my hand in his.
If you were to ask me, Shane was giving Luke the side eye, but maybe it was just me.
Joey: I'm not, really.
He gently placed my pale hand back down on my wheel chairs arm rest.
Joey: Well nice to meet you!
Luke: Nice to meet you too.
He whispered in his raspy voice again, and Shane strolled me away.
Shane showed me to everyone else eventually, and by the end it was time to go back to our rooms for rest time or whatever.
