Bumps in the Road

Chapter 4

*2 months later

Bryce's POV: "Ugghhhh!", groans Addison. I'm helping her zip up her favorite black jeans. But we can't get it because of the baby bump. It has started showing, not much but it's definitely there. Every morning I wake up and kiss my two favorite people, Addison and the baby (bump). We eventually get it, after numerous attempts, and head to the mall to meet some friends. Dixie, Charli, Thomas, Griffin, Josh, Mia, Addison and I will all be shopping for stuff for our trip to the beach next month. We decided that we should go on an endeavor before the baby comes because we won't have that much time to spend with each other after. I can't wait to spend time with my friends for a week. I haven't seen much of them because I've been spending so much time with Addison. I know she's excited to see her friends too because she can't wait to talk about the baby. She's really excited about the baby. I'm not going to lie, I am too. I feel like having a kid will help Addison and I grow even closer than we are right now.

Dixie, Charli, Mia, and Addison head off to a maternity store to get stuff for Addison while me and the boys head over to nike to get some new shoes. When we finally finish shopping, after 4 hours, we go back to our houses to chill. Addison and I decide to talk over buying a house of our own. We converse over money and insurance making sure we're making the right move. We have enough money saved up to spend up to 1 million dollars. We're going to look at a few houses next week.

A few weeks later Addison and I buy our first home together! We bought a 5 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom, house near the sway and hype house in LA. We're so excited that we forget to tell our friends for a day. We start packing and moving our stuff into the new house. It will take awhile for the new furniture to come in so we only have the necessities. I can't wait to know the gender of the baby. We get to know in about a month. We're having a gender reveal party at the beach where Addison's parents will announce the gender.

Tonight Addison and I go on a date. I have something very special planned for her tonight. After and amazing dinner I take her on a drive to the top of a large hill where you can see the whole city. I had Griffin and Dixie set up a rose petal and candlelit walkway. I help her out of the car and lead her down the path to were I have an awning covered in leaves, roses, fairy lights, and vines, waiting for her. I stop under the awning and stare deeply into her eyes. "Addison, I love you. I have so many great memories with you and I can't wait to make more. I cherish every single moment I am with you. You and the baby are my pride and joy in life. I promise that I will be the best father and the best husband I can be when the time comes." I pull a ring box out of my pocket and open it. "With this promise ring, I promise to become a husband to you someday. I will provide for you and never leave you or the baby until I die. Do you, Addison, take this promise ring?" As I finish my sentence I see tears streaming down her face, smudging her mascara. "Yes.", she says. I put the ring on her finger and pick her up and twirl her around. I set her down and kiss her. "I love you too." , she says after. We stand there in the dark for an hour alternating between kissing and talking.
