They were staring at each other in silence. No one dared to say a word or just didn't wanted to get involved in the "silent war" between the two men. A slim black-haired tatooed doctor on one side and, on the other, a muscular red-haired with some mechanical arm. Eustass Kid and Trafalgar D. Water Law never got along. The atmosphere when your two crews were together was always uncomfortable, to say the least. The two captains were everything but fond of each other. Two stubborn men stuck working together. "I've heard rumours about him, and they weren't pleasant. His manners aren't too good either..." that was the first thing Kid told you about your captain; Law didn't have a better opinion of the red-haired. No matter what you told the two men, nothing would do. You served the purpose of some sort of pad, absorbing all their stupidities.

That's what, you (y/n) (l/n) is, a pad. That's how Ikkaku put it at least. "You do realize they're two grown-ups, right? Let them be, they know they have to work together anyway, whether they like it or not." That's where she was wrong. Caring as you were, you went from a crew to another to do the exchanges because deep down you knew they could never get through it if they did it by themselves. Eustass Kid was rather an unfriendly man, without forgetting his mistrust towards others. It took you a lot of patience and courage to keep up with him. Yet as kind and understanding as you were you could naturally read others after some hours whether them being intimidating or not. Were you kind? Yes. Too much giving? Also yes. The alliance between the two crews would hardly still exist if it wasn't for you.

The exchanges and agreement were doing great for a few days by now as both crews were on the same island until they agreed or got tired of each other and give up. The second option not being your favourite.

On the dock, you were enjoying the sunlight on this fresh day of October. The temperature was just perfect. As all Heart Pirates, you were wearing the recognizable beige overall with the Jolly Roger displayed on the back with brown boots ; the uniform. You were peacefully drinking some water as poor Bepo ran up to you. "(Y/n)-san!" He whimpered. "What is it Bepo?"

"The captain and Kid are getting out of hand!"

That was it, your worst fear! Talking to both separately wasn't an issue, but both as they were making and tantrum? I didn't sign for that...You did lack some confidence, counting on your silence and embarrassment starting to make people notice your presence. "Do I really have to go?"

"Well they will listen to you...and Kid seems to be especially fond of you." Hic! That's when Penguin finally made himself noticed, laughing out loud as your face grew redder and redder each second. You turned towards the older man, red as a tomato, your eyes begging him to shut it ; it didn't work.

"Why are you red?" asked the polar bear. "Did I say something weird?"

It was true. Bepo was as innocent as snow. Good for you. "It's...nothing! Where are they anyway?"
