Your heart was icy,
Where have you been?
Your cheeks flushed red,
Like my skin,

Your touch was hot,
But your mind cold,
Your arms rough and dangerous,
But they knew how to hold,

Your eyes were dark,
With your serenity gone to waste,
Consuming your alcohol and cigarettes,
Left your mouth with a bitter taste,

Your lungs were choked,
Not a word was said,
You left me to tend to my wounds,
That were engraved in my head,

Your breath was swift,
And I knew something was wrong,
You won't let me in,
I've been waiting too long,

Your time was short,
Yet I don't regret a single thing,
Because you not being here,
Had a familiar ring.
