" momma said come downstairs she gotta tell us sum" my big brother Justin told me busting into my room

I followed him downstairs and seen my mama and some lady on the couch
" what's going on" i asked confused with my arms crossed
" you know I taught you better than that nya introduce yourself" my mama said giving me a stern look I smacked my lips and looked back over to the lady that was on our couch
" hi my name is kanya but people call me nya" I said sticking my hand out so she should shake it she smiled and did so
" I'm sherhonda" she said introducing herself to me
" lord knows I need sherhonda head ass girl " Justin said clearly high I busted out laughing that's exactly what I thought of when she said her name
My mama hit him in his head And gave me the same look she gave me a couple of minutes ago
" ouchhh" he whined rubbing his head I laughed this boy showing out

" I lost my job today and I can't really afford to take care of all of y'all right now so I asked a favor from sherhonda we go way back she used to work with me before she quit a couple of years ago and she agreed to take y'all in until I get back on my feet" she explained I didn't have no words i did not want to move especially because corona still going on and I don't know if that lady got it
" mmcht no i got us I can take care of us" Justin said because he didn't want to move either
" I'm not finna take your drug money justin" she told him because he been selling drugs every since our father died he smacked his lips and went to his room and slammed his door
"I am so sorry about this sherhonda you came all the way from California to do this favor for me and they acting a fool" my mom said apologizing for our actions
" it's okay meka I get it moving is hard you don't have to apologize " she said that's the longest thing she said since I met her so I finally realized her Louisiana accent"
" I know that no matter what we say you still going to make us move so I'm not gone give you a hard time im just gone start packing then I'll talk to Justin for you" I told her trying not to be a troubled child because she did fly from Cali to Houston
My mom smiled at me and kissed me on the forehead
" thank you nya" she said
" np ma" I told her smiling then running up stairs to Justin room and knocked on the door because I actually have respect for people privacy
" get the fuck on" he screamed at the door I rolled my eyes and went in his room he was laying on his back in his bed on his phone

He finally looked up from his phone
" why you in here" he asked rudely
" why you got to be like that Justin mama been through a lot since daddy died stop adding on to her stress " I told him truthfully he sighed and sat up next to me
" Bianca pregnant and it's mines I can't just leave her like that" he said referring to his off and on girlfriend for 5 years
I raised my eyebrow "are you sure it's yours no offense or anything but she's a hoe she was just with your friend Blake 2 weeks ago"I told him not sure
" she said it was so i think it is" I rolled my eyes this boy dumber then I thought
" Ight then that don't mean anything she still got a lot of months left and maybe by then mama will have her money straight" I said trying to get him to go
He smiled and ruffled my hair messing up my top bun
" you smart lil sis" I pushed him and looked in the mirror on the wall behind his mirror to fix my bun
" Ight now get the fuck out" he told me pushing me out his room I rolled my eyes that boy disrespectful
