Levi pov
Leaning back in his leather chair, he reached up and cracked his knuckles. Scattered around the alpha was documents of the Russian Mob's transactions and business deals form the last year. Taking another sip of his bitter tea, he glanced over to Hanji.
"Got anything four eyes?"
The beta didn't respond, to immersed in the scanner she was slouched in front of- he would have told her off for the bad poster if he wasn't so busy with the whole "my omega is missing thing".
The alpha in side him screamed and howled at him to go find his mate the old fashioned way- follow his sent and charge in to the place regardless of what would happen to him.
"It doesn't make sense." Erwin mumbled under his breath- his oversized eyebrows crunched together in confusion.
"What doesn't make sense?" Levi snapped, they have been going at this for hours, and yet nothing.
With one last squint the the documents in hand, Erwin set them down next to each other, so Levi could read them.
"We all know the the Mob doesn't like getting outside help- you know them, pride is everything. But a few months ago there was a round trip to Australia, but they have no contacts there, and then a few days after that, did another to somewhere in the north. Then- omegas start going missing, the sick ones- got them cheep because they were gonna die."
If there was one thing Levi hated more then cops- was human traffickers, he always took them out when he could.
"How do you think they are related?"
"Well we know that Eren took out Eric but why was the mob there in the first place? What did Eric have that they didn't?"
Levi mulled the thought over in his head- the Mob was all over the place- from drugs to human 'cargo' so what was so important that the main man was there and not some underlings?
Levi swerved his chair twords Hanji.
"I want you to hack into their back accounts- see where the money is going, and see how much they have. You-" he pointed twords Erwin, "Come with me- we have places to go and people to see."
Nearly and hour later they were parked in the back of a club- even this early in the morning, the music was still thumping and lights were still going crazy.
"What are we doing exactly Levi?" Erwin asked, his eyes following a group of friends stumbling across the front side walk.
Levi unclenched his hand from the steering wheel- and reached across the others lap to the glove box and fished out a pair of black leather gloves.
"You could have just asked for them you know." The other alpha commented. Levi shot him a look.
We are looking for the owners son- he's not that much of a threat, but these-" he shook his left hand as he loaded a magazine into his gun, "are just in case something happens. Your job is to keep watch, and ask around, I've heard that see mob members kick it here in their off times. Keep your ears open." Levi put his gun back in it's holster resting by his lower rib cage, and stepped out out of the vehicle, Erwin following suit.
The two walked in after a quick ID check at the golden front doors, and we're immediately assaulted with the loud dubstep music and the low humm of chatter. Erwin split from Levi, making a bee line twords the bar, sitting two seats away fro a small group of four men. The bar tender stared at him expectedly.
"I'll have a Jack on the rocks please." The other nodded and walked away.
In the display bottles the murky silhouettes of dancers swayed, he cast his eyes down, not even wanting to get a hint of what was going on at the lit stages behind  him. Instead he focused he s train of eyes down the his drumming thumb and strained his ears to the conversation happening next to him.
"So what do you think he's going to do next? He doesn't think the kid is a threat, but you gotta admit Six, he doesn't have a history of betraying people, but he also doesn't have a history of  not doing it ya know?"
One of the others let a deep chuckle tremor though him, the downed the rest of his beer. After we he finally spoke.
"the way I see it, he happened upon his predicament by chance, but with all we have to order to him he just might stay. Boss has been saying that he wanted a man with his talents for years. Now is the perfect opportunity."
All the others nodded in agreement.
Just as one started to speck, the bar tender came back with Erwin's drink setting it down in front of him.
Erwin glanced up to the green pitiful eyes of the server. Erwin must have looked like he was brooding over some misfortune in his life because the tender asked if he wanted to start a tab. Feeling the need to have a unsuspicious cover up story Erwin agreed.
"What s got you so down fellow?" The man asked, resting his forearms on the bar top.
Erwin wracked his brain for an answer.
"Umm, well I lost my job and my mate left me." The man nodded sympathetically. It was uncommon for mates to part from one another- but it happens on rare occasions.
"Well I'll leave you to it." And left the serve the group of men. Erwin took small sips of his drink and tried to listen to the conversation again- and only cought bits and pieces.
"You know what happens when people refuse the boss.. Hopefully he knows when to pick his battles-" the we're about to say more when Erwin's concentration was broken by a light hand on his shoulder.
A beta woman appeared.at his side, wearing nothing but a small bra that matched her dance shoes and tight short shorts.
"A little bit told me that you could use a bit of a," she trailed her other hand down her throat and to her chest, "distraction." He red painted lips parted as she let out a light flirtatious giggle.
How was he going to get out of this?
All Erwin thought of in that moment was 'I sure hope Levi is doing better then me.'
