"son," hakoda said, gaining hisdepressed son's attention. "you have to get a summer job, like your little sister."
sokka cocked his head, "huh?" his dad looked at his facial expression,
"sokka, you can't spend the summer moping around over a girl. who, i think, left two weeks ago. besides, iroh still has job applications at his tea shop."
"but do i have to?" sokka complained as his dad gave him the look. "okay, fine, ill go."

"sokka!" iroh said, patting sokka's back. "are you ready to work?"
"but iroh, don't i have a interview?" sokka asked as iroh gave him a cup. sokka muttered a thank you.
"yes but-" iroh looked down on his watch. "-a few employees are late. this would be a test." iroh said, warming up the tea with his firebending. iroh looked at his emo nephew and started to whisper, "besides, zuko is getting lonely after two of his friends started dating."
"UNCLE I CAN HEAR YOU!" zuko hollered, embarrassed.
iroh whipped his head to his nephew, "maybe you need some calming tea, zuko." zuko sighed,
"i don't need any calming tea, uncle."
iroh's eyes looked around as if he's about to gossip, "at least he's not in his teen angst anymore."
