Chapter 1. The most beautiful girl.

Cateia recently moved to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from Singapore, and in an effort to familiarise himself with the place, he decided to go for a walk around the city. After half an hour on the sidewalk, he saw a mall and decided to drop by to grab a snack.

Eyes glued to his phone screen while walking to mcdonalds, he paid no attention to the girl walking directly towards him. When he looked up, it was too late - they collided and the girl fell to the ground.

"Ah, I'm so sorry. Didn't see you there. A-are you ok?" Cateia, now flushed and flustered, asked the girl in worry. This was the first time they locked eyes. Cateia was taken aback by how beautiful she was - large brown eyes paired with a tiny button nose on a perfectly symmetrical face. 'no way I'll ever get a girl like that', he thought to himself.

"Here, let me help you up," Cateia muttered while extending his arm to her. she grabbed it and in a swift motion, pulled herself back up. "I'm fine, sorry about that. Thank you!". This was the first time Cateia noticed her smile - a small grin, but lips parted just enough for her canine teeth to poke through. Cateia felt his heart flutter.

"I'm sorry, but I have to go. My friends are waiting for me, thanks again!" And just like that, she was gone. Cateia stood rooted to the ground, unable to move as the figure of the girl got smaller and more distant. Cateia did not feel hungry anymore, not after that encounter. He felt a warm feeling in his stomach, and decided to walk back home.

Right when he got back home, he took a quick shower and lied down in his bed. Slowly drifting to sleep.
