Elemental Powers Aren't Simple

Y/n POV

 "My fault? W-what do you mean?",I asked nervously. I never asked for Jay's powers. Sure they're cool and all ,but I never wanted nor asked for them. 

 "Well you are... How do I put this nicely? You're cursed. Ya know like bibidi bobidi boo only yours is in a bad way. Actually a terrible way.",Sylvy rambled on. "I mean Jay was too ,but not as badly as you. He broke his curse already."

"I'M CURSED",Jay shouted. "WHAT TYPE OF CURSE? AM I GOING TO DIE? I AM GOING TO DIE AREN'T I-",Jay's panic gets interrupted as Garmadon smacks him with his staff and sighs.

 "She said you were. How can we trust you?",Garmadon raises an eyebrow at her skeptically.

 "You can't! But thats the beauty of life isn't it? I'll tell you all I know you decide whether or not to believe it.",Sylvy says exclaiming.  "I mean I could be nothing ,but a lying sssssnake.",she said as she turned into one. She giggled she turned back in to a human. "Or I could be loyal and honest dog. Woof!",she turned into a pekingese and human in the blink of an eye. (Dogs represent honesty and loyalty according to google so yeah.) "Now curse explaining. So basically a demon got mad at an elemental master. That elemental master was none other than the previous elemental master of lightening. She refused a mans advances. That man was actually a demon and well I guess he didn't tale that rejection lightly since he cursed his children. Aka you and Jay. The curse is that you fall ion love too easily and the people who you fall for you also develop a crush on you. It doesn't matter how old they are or who they are. The curse forces them to like you romantically. And it doesn't stop until you've had your 28 relationship or found your  true love. Jay has his soulmate Nya so thats half he problem gone. However you, Y/n will be doomed if your next love isn't your soulmate.",Sylvy finishes explaining while she stoops down to pet a rat.

 "W-wait. What happens if my 28th relationship comes and it isn't my soulmate.",I asked fearing the answer.

 "So what I'm hearing is that I'm in the clear? WHOOHOO!",Jay celebrates as I glare at him. "I mean such a tragedy sis...",Nya groans and rolls her eyes.

 "Hold up so Sylvy is an elemental master and no one was going to tell me?",Lloyd shouts.

 "LLOYD!",everyone screams at him as he raises his hands defensively. 

 "Its an honest question!",he protests.

 "We went over this Lloyd. Don't worry I'll do free pest control for you guys while I'm here.",Sylvy gives a thumbs up as Lloyd nods. "Oh yeah if your 28th relationship comes and its not your soulmate you will  never feel anything ever again emotionally unless it's a descendent of the demon who cursed you. Either that or you'll be a shell and become his for all eternity.",Sylvy finishes.

 "Well aren't you lucky.",Kai said as patted my back in what I'm assuming is a comforting way.

 "Anyways the imbalance thing is partly my fault sorry. See I'm also a twin. Only my twin is your typical cliche evil twin and she also has the same elemental powers as me. So like she probably sent these rats to spy on you or steal from you. And her being evil sort of upsets the elemental balance of things. Which can cause things to go a wee bit haywire.",she finishes.

 I pause. This was a lot to take in. I was cursed? From birth apparently. And I had to find my true love or else. You know what I don't even want to think about it. I- Is it really that unbelievable though? I mean I live in Ninjago a city thats constantly under attack. Once it's right back on its feet something comes up. I'm not a Ninja. I'm just a rising star who has a performance group with her friends. I came back to do a concert in my hometown and now I have to beware of a demon who hates my family. I felt someone put their hand on my shoulder as I looked up.

 "Hey it'll be okay. I'm here for you. We're all here for you. Jay found Nya so you should have no problem finding your soulmate. And then this curse will be broken and you'll be able to continue your life of fame, dancing and singing under the spotlight",Cole said softy as I nodded. I was grateful for his reassurance. Could I really find the someone for me? Is it bad I want it to be him. No. I- I can't catch feelings or else he's forced to love me.  I turn away from him sighing. One chance. I only have one more risk to take. And as much as I want to waste on this cake loving earth ninja, I can't. I'd hate having to force him to like me. 

Cole POV

 I looked down at the ground in disappointment as Y/n turned away from me. I wonder how many relationships Y/n has had. Surely they couldn't be that close to 28 right? I like her. But am I the one for them? Plus she's Jay's twin. Isn't that very awkward. She's probably very scared anyways. Theres no way she'd want to risk being with me until she was 110% sure. 

 "So that's all I to share with you all. Now if you'll excuse me I got to go. The animals need me. Lloyd it was nice hanging out with you! Lets do it again sometime k?",Sylvy smiles as she jumps off the deck of the bounty. We all scream at her except Zane until we hear a dragon roar and calm down.

 "Sylvy can turn into any animal? Did you all just forget that?",Zane said shrugging. We all just shake our head as the little rats hop on board of the pink dragon known as Sylvy. Soon she flies away after Lloyd waves her goodbye. Other then that sweetheart moment the room grows tense again.

 "What could someone want with the cave of elementals? Theres nothing down there anymore. The cave was closed off a long time ago.",Misako remarked. "Historians took all it had to offer.",she paced around glancing back at the map. Wu and Garmadon joined her and looked just as anxious as her. 

 "Wait so the curse can't be that bad! How many relationships have you had already? You couldn't possible have had that many right?",Lloyd asked curiously. I looked toward Y/n eager to know their answer. She started nervously laughing and rubbed the back of her neck. She gulped.

 "Funny you ask. I have had about uh lets see, 27 relationships." ,Y/n nervously laughed as she played with her fingers. I looked at her shocked. Wow the curse wasn't lying when they said it made you fall in love easily.  

 "Your doomed. Mum's doomed.",Jazmin exclaimed putting their hands up in the air. "But then again what else is new?"

 "Don't die yet we need a concert planner!",Alexa added.

 "Seriously you guys? Just don't fall in love no more boys. Everyone shoo and go not be single. Y/n you're staying single for the rest of your life. No more relationships for you.",Millie wagged her finger in Y/n's face as she rolled her eyes at her friends.

 "Oh trust me. I'm swearing off of dating.",she replies ,but then looks up at me and walks up to me. "At least for now. I just need to break this curse first.",she said while looking me straight in the eyes. "Well this has been a long day. I'm going to go sleep.",I blush as her hands touch mine as she walks past. Just you wait Y/n. I'll find a way to break this curse. And then we can find out if what I feel for you is just attraction. 

Sylvy: I FINISHED HAHAHA YES!

Cole: Again after a month.

Sylvy: ;-; I'm trying okay. 

Cole: Some of us really want to hang with Y/n okay!

Sylvy: *rolls eyes* Who doesn't? I swear anyways moving on! I just wanted to ask you guys if you liked this writing style? Is this one okay or should I go back to the previous one. Also do you guys prefer short yet frequent chapters or long chapters that take more time to write? I will have this book under editing before the next chapter so bear with me. Sorry for being a bad author. I'm also working on another side project that may or may not wind up on Wattpad Im not sure. It's Haikyuu and not an x Reader though. So I'll be doing that as well. Lloyd: Doesn't that count as the uh you know...

Sylvy: Let me have this just this once as long as no one says the forbidden words it shall remain.

Jay: What forbidden words again?

Sylvy: NO ONE ANSWER THAT!

Jay: Its an honest question!

Sylvy: NO DAMN IT I SAID NO!
