" Nice to meet you, where you been, I could show you incredible...."

Well good morning to you too Taylor. Grumbling, I picked up my phone to see who could be calling. The brightness felt like it was penetrating through my eye and into my skull. This is a cruel world.

"Mmm..Coach?" I hoped he was suffocating or better yet, dying. I don't mean that. Rubbing my eyes and getting my bed hair out of my face, I sat up in my bed, waiting for a reply.

"Yes Andrea. Are you awake?"

"I am now." It was 6:30AM on a Saturday. What did I do to deserve this?

"Oh. Sorry about that. I just got a  call from Charlie. There has been a change of plans. Im really sorry but we can't have training the usual time today. The pool's been booked for some kids birthday. The only time that we've been given is from seven to nine. And yes, im just as pissed as you are." I was half sleeping.

"You mean like in thirty minutes?" The things I do for swimming.

"Yes. Do you think you could make it?" He was probably meaning, "Yes and don't be late."

"What else is there to live for?"

"Atta girl. See you in less than thirty." And with that he hung up.

Getting up out of bed but knowing that I could be sleeping all snug and continuing my dream date with dave franco made the struggle worse. C'mon Rea, get your butt out of bed and change. Oh, Shut up conscience.

I packed up my stuff and headed for the Aquatic Centre.

"There she is." Coach greeted me with bags under his eyes  and a messy hair. He probably struggled to get out of bed more than me.

"Morning Coach. Did you brush your teeth?" He gave me a stern look and covered his mouth with his hand.

"Is it that obvious?" Than he burst out laughing, a little to hard then ended up coughing making his face red like a tomato.

"Of course I did Andrea. If I didnt, you know you'd be in a coma by now." I laughed, I felt much better now.

Walking towards the changing rooms I was greeted by Charlie, a sweet, short, ginger haired man who worked here, looking after the place.

"Good morning golden girl." sounding as cheerful as he always has been.

"Hey Charlie. I heard there's a birthday party today. "

"Yep, which is why I called so early. I knew it would disrupt your training." He looked apologetic.

"Well thank you for being so thoughtful to let us know about it. I've gotta go get ready, coach is waiting." He simply nodded then went back to his cleaning.

Once I was in the water, I felt a surge of energy, I felt powerful and free. The world melted away and I was in my happy place. After doing a few laps and exercises, Coach said that our time was up. It didn't feel like two hours but i guess when you enjoy what you're doing time flies by really fast.

Fresh and ready to head back home, I waved goodbye to Charlie and Coach Ryan.
