It was the first day of school for Mia and she was very nervous as she had never been to school before, considering the fact that she had fought many battles unknown to her parents to protect her magical amulet and she also thought that she would put everyone in danger if she went to school. But since she was a growing girl of eleven years, she needed to be educated.
Luckily, she had her best friend and fairy guide, Miami to help her. Mia would not have needed a fairy guide but since she had trouble socializing, she desperately needed one. She approached the classroom door and was about to open it when she suddenly stopped ❌. Miami then was forced to ask:
Miami: What's going on? Why did you stop?
Mia: I am nervous, I don't think I can do it and even if I could, what will I say?
Miami: Is that what you are worried about? Don't worry, you will be fine. Just walk in, let the teacher introduce you and then you say "hi, nice to meet you". You can do this.
Mia: I can do this, I can do this [repeatedly]....
She proceeded into the Class and immediately, her face turned bright red, she was nervous.
Miami: Uh oh! This isn't good. Mia, pull yourself together! [Soliloquizing] something better happen fast.
Class Teacher: Oh, look who's here, everyone meet the new student, Mia. Say hello to Mia McPherson everyone!
Students: Helloooo Miaaaa!
Class Teacher: Mia say hello to your new classmates.
Mia: Hi everyone, my name is Mia, nice to meet you.
Class Teacher: I am your teacher, Miss Cecilia and [pointing] this is Chris, Stephanie, Ethan, Rover, Isabelle, Rosette, Lila and Perry. They are your new classmates.
Mia: Hi
Miami: You are doing great 😉
Miss Cecilia: Have a seat next to Chris, yes the intelligent one. He should give you some pointers. Would you mind Chris?
Chris: Not at all. Pleasure is mine. Welcome Mia.
Mia: Uhh thanks.
She started down and their first lesson was science for eight graders of course.
Miss Cecilia: Okay, now we are all settled in with our new student, we can now proceed to today's science lesson which would be held in the science lab. Come on now everyone [heading towards the 🚪 door]. To the science lab!
They all went to the science lab, remaining Chris and Mia in the classroom.
Chris: Come-on, let's go, we don't want to miss class and I can show you around on the way there. [Takes hold of Mia's ✋ hand].
Mia: Actually, I want to go by my.. [interrupted by Miss Cecilia]
Miss Cecilia: Hurry up now!
Chris pulls Mia all the way to the science lab while showing her around on the way. They reach the science lab with time to spare.
Mia: [Soliloquising] Thank goodness we made it, I was about to get sick 😵 of being pulled around.
Mia: Chris let go of me! I mean, would you please release my hand ofrom your grip?
Chris: Sorry about that.
Mia: [silently] oh brother.
Miss Cecilia: okay everyone settle down, today we will be talking on the topic, Family Traits relating to Genetics.
