He woke up with a jolt and was sweating really bad. He glanced at his surroundings and was relieved realizing that it was his room. That clearly meant that IT WAS A NIGHTMARE, AGAIN - the word 'again' shook him to the core almost like other days. Before leaving the bed, he could only whisper, "Nightmare or The Darkest Truth of my Life." He, then, changed to his jogging tracks and came downstairs.

Seeing him up so early, his mom enquired, "What's wrong, son? Look at the clock! How come you wake up so early?" Out of his agony, he managed to state, "So mom? You're also here right.. at this time. So why can't me?" "Yes, because it's my daily rout...." She tried to make him understand but stopped in the middle as she caught him long gone. She murmured, "This boy.. he must accept that SHE HAS GONE!"

The scene changed to a beach where the MAN had reached by now and where their lovestory had started from.

He walked along the beach, the place where they saw each other for the very first time, with his shoes in one hand and other one in his track pants' pocket. The wind was blowing across the place continuously. The restless wind stirred the sea and there the waves came crashing against the sand like the jaw of a monster crashing down on its prey. Soon the air was filled with a heavy scent of sea salt and man shivered with the greeting of the cold gust of wind.

Sighing almost silently, he dropped himself onto the wet beach and watched how tiny grains of sand make their way through his feet. The waves were washing away the sand and leaving him feeling cold and sticky with salt. He bowed down his head for some seconds and then rested his chin on the top of his knees.

He gazed straight ahead at the miles of never-ending glistening water, hoping - praying - like the same way he had every other day and night that she would somehow find a way back to him. He spent a lot of time here since she had gone.

He wanted to be away from all the people, including his family, who seemed so certain that she had gone for ever. He didn't let their pessimistic thoughts dampen his faith in his love. He knew that she was still out there for him. She had to be out there for HIM!

Because if she wasn't - if she was really gone - then what was he doing being mortal? Once during their long late night chats he promised her and eventually she promised him that they wouldn't take a single breath without each other, that they wouldn't let each other face the miseries of the world alone. THEY WOULD STAND BESIDE EACH OTHER FOREVER AND THEIR LOVE WOULD CONQUER ANY WAR EASILY BY THE TIME THEY WERE TOGETHER. So how could she betray him? And if something had actually happened to her, then what was the point for him to be alive?

And so with a heart of hope and mindset on the positive, he'd come down to the ocean and just sit and stare at it. He tried hard not to think about the incident that occurred exactly two months ago - how his elder brother broke out the news, in front of him when he came back after his tiring workout session, of the flight she was coming by had crashed. He also informed him about how the rescue team was unable to find some passengers or we could say their bodies; and SHE was one of them. He felt someone had snatched the floor off of his feet. He simply left to his room without uttering a word. Once he locked himself in his room, he grabbed her bracelet that she had forgotten here the last time she came to bid him goodbye. He didn't know that IT WAS GOING TO BE THEIR FINAL GOODBYE, if he had the slightest idea of it, he would never let her go even if she wouldn't talk to him ever. He remembered how he kissed her forehead and their last kiss was a memory for him.

He, then, came out of his trance of thoughts and he waited.. waited for her. He waited for a sign, a flash of light or a miracle - anything that would bring her back to where she actually belonged to.

"Anisa" his voice shook, quiet and weary and uncertain and exploding with emotions all at the same time.

"Anisaaaa" he called out louder this time, lifting his head up high gazing the very morning sky.

"Anisaaaa" an echo followed.

And when nothing happened, he let out a breath he was holding and big fat tears came rolling down his pale shrivelled face and his chest was heaving up and down. The man used the last shred of hope he had left, the last bit of faith, and the last ounce of tolerance to whisper helplessly, "Ani, please come back. I'm waiting. Your Jake is waiting for you, loveee."

Each man has a breaking point, no matter how strong his spirit. And there comes Jake's breaking point! Somewhere deep inside him, there is a flaw that only the fickle cruelty of fate can find. And this time he finds no shame in having a good cry because it's better than bottling up his emotions.
