Hanna's POV
I am aimlessly scrolling through Tiktok on the couch, when a notification pops up on the top of my screen.
*inspireheidi posted a new story on Instagram* I click on the notification, since it was from Heidi.
The story says in bold letters, "Apply for a DREAM LA Summer Internship". My interest peaks and I quickly click on the link.
The link opens up to a Google Form with a caption reading, "Application to be a remote intern for the Dream LA House. You do not have to live in LA to be an intern."
I have been following Heidi on Instagram for a while now. I was a big fan of her match services and I was even able to make a few close friends through the process. I realized it had been awhile since I had seen her on social media, so the Dream LA name was new to me.
I close out of the form and go on to Tiktok to search for Dream LA. Immediately dozens of fan accounts pop up on my screen. I click on the first option. The first video is a compilation of photos of six teenage boys.
There are also lots of screen recordings of what I assume to be their live streams. (I make a mental note that they are all attractive too.) Luckily, in the caption of the video all of the boys are tagged.
I go ahead and follow the members, Bryan, Chris, Tristan, Dayne, Tyler, Darius, and Heidi. After doing some further internet stalking, I realize that all the members seem really funny and down-to-Earth. I decide this could be an unique opportunity to get experience with social media management.
So, I go back to Instagram and apply for the internship with Dream LA.
Later that night, I get a notification on my phone that all the boys have started their live streams. I eagerly click on the notification as I am excited to see what the boys are like when they go live.
The first boy whose live I go to is Bryan. He is wearing an adorable blue Dunder Mifflin cut-off with ripped jeans. His brown curly hair contrasts nicely against the blue shirt, not to mention his blue eyes pop as well. He is also wearing two gold chains that dangle around his neck. I am pleasantly surprised at his dance moves and his confidence in himself. He pays lots of attention to his fans in the comments, which I find touching.
I swipe up to see the next boy's live. The next live belongs to Chris. Through my stalking of their accounts earlier, I realized Bryan and Chris must be brothers. I can see some similarities in the two boys, but Chris has darker brown hair and he has brown eyes. His hair and his eyes are both complemented by his Lakers jersey, chains, and earrings.
Chris has equally good dance moves compared to Bryan and seemly has the most energy of the boys ( he is definitely the loudest). From off camera, I hear someone yell, "Hey Chris, come here." Chris leaves the frame of the live and I scroll to see where he is going.
I scroll franticly to find where Chris has gone. Passing some of the other boys, I finally see Chris standing next to another boy. This must be Tyler. I noticed on some of the fan pages that these two have established a substantial ship name, Cryler. I can definitely see why, as the two pose for a screenshot.
Tyler is a bit taller than Chris and his head is covered in fluffy brown curls. He is wearing an adorable blue and yellow Louis Vuitton sweatshirt with Casper the Ghost on the front. He automatically gets points for style. The combination of the sweatshirt with his ripped jeans, chains, painted nails, and earrings, is super flattering.
The live comments are scrolling by quickly and they are filled with #cryler comments, which makes me like this duo even more. Chris leaves Tyler's live and heads back to his phone. Tyler pulls a chair from the off camera and sits down to talk to his fans. I decide to comment.
"Hey, Tyler! I'm new to the lives lol."
I am surprised when Tyler responds, "Hey Hanna. Welcome. My lives are pretty chill we usually just hang out."
Cute. I like this one already.
I guess I should check out the rest of the boys, so I scroll again. The next boy is Tristan. I immediately notice he also has really good hair. His hair is dark brown and he wears it pushed back. He is wearing a plain black t-shirt, gray sweatpants, and a chain with the letter "T" on it.
The song "Fergalicious" starts blaring over the speakers, and he immediately jumps up, and starts dancing. I start laughing as I had the same initial reaction to the song. Watching Tristan dance to this song is absolutely hilarious, and the comments are equally as fun. The more I watch the lives the more I like these boys already.
I scroll down again and enter Dayne's live. I notice right away that he is definitely the tallest of the boys. Dayne also has brown hair and bright blue eyes. I also see he is wearing a few chains around his neck. He has on a cut off and a pair of ripped jeans. He turns around to grab a drink and I notice that he has a US Marines tattoo on his shoulder blade. I instantly respect him for this.
I notice his comment section is also flooded randomly with dinosaur emojis which I suspect has something to do with a nickname of his. Dayne is definitely the mature one of the group, I can tell in the way he carries himself.
I scroll one last time and reach the last live, Darius. As I enter his live, he is speaking another language. Some of the comments are in another language as well. I see in the comments many fans commenting the Polish flag. He must be from there, or his parents at least. He seems like the most quiet of them all, at least at the moment on live. He has such a sweet smile and floppy brown hair. He stays engaged in conversation with his fans too, which I really admire.
I leave the lives all together and refresh my following page. Just as I do this, I see that Heidi has started a live. I click on her live and comment,
"Heidi, I just applied for the internship position!"
She replies, "Oh awesome Hanna! Good luck."
I smile at the thought of getting this internship as Dream LA seems like a fun group to work for. I exit out of Tiktok for the night, set my phone on my beside table, and head to sleep.
