Welcome To The Show

——THE CHORUS OF HARMONIES PLAYING FROM THE BACKTRACK to Only Angel blared through the auditorium, fans immediately screaming their lungs out and the white sheet blocking us from them, slowly but surely ready to fall as fog lit lights set the tone. Time stood still as we awaited at our instruments, ready to make some noise.

Goosebumps arose around my skin, shivers running up my spine as I gripped my guitar harder that I ever had before. I glanced to Mitch who was bouncing on his heels, wondering if he was as nervous as I was or if he was just that excited to began shredding the guitar as he always did. Drumsticks were being twirled easily in Sarah's hand, foot bouncing up and down on the pedal but not enough to make a sound. The piano began slowly, and I looked up to the leveled stage at Ny and Charlotte who were both collectively off their seats but still on enough to play them.

Harry stood at his mic stand, perfectly still as his silhouette of black stunned the audience, white lights and fog blocking all of us from being seen but the serene scene of it all was enough to have his fans passing out from their ardent excitement. He gripped onto the mic stand, fingers traveling along the microphone and rings reflecting with the lights that blinded everyone. I could make out a small smile on his face and before I knew it, drums began and Harry swayed away from the microphone to let his energy out.

In one slick movement, my fingers travelled across the strings and the bass began to play, my other hand effortlessly plucking at the bottom to create the deep and smooth chords. I beamed, looking over to Mitch and seeing him nod at the fans as he began to play his guitar and shred through the chords as easily as he could. When he turned and made eye contact with me, he smiled and shook his head, lifting his guitar a bit in something I would like to say was encouragement for me. In return I lifted mine on my knee, leg resting on the leveled stage staircase and watching as he chuckled before returning back to looking at the fans.

My eyes caught onto a moving figure and I laughed childishly as Harry moved across the stage in sprints to greet his fans with moving arms and air kisses. I admired the way he always appreciated them, watching as he waltzed back to his mic and ran a hand through his dark and thick curls. As I seemingly ogled him and his intimidating energy I noticed he was ready to sing.

I readjusted my earpiece and quickly placed my hands back on my instrument, turning to Mitch and seeing him with a confused expression towards me. I simply did a thumbs up and continued playing the chords I'd come to remember easily as Harry's voice entered my ear.

"Open up your eyes, shut your mouth and see, that I'm still the only one who's been in love with me," He turned his head to look in Mitch and I's direction, left arm making a strange movement that I could only guess was something Mitch could know, "Ill guess I'll be getting you stuck between my teeth, and there's nothing I can o about it"

I glanced up to the audience and noticed multiple signs and waving cups in the air, wondering if Harry would take any into recognition. I looked back down to my guitar and how it glistened with the lights, glowing like how I felt at the moment with hearing Mitch and I's guitars flow together so seamlessly. I loved that if you listened close enough, you could distinguish the two guitars from one another and how well they worked together.
