The phone ring loud through the house. Issy sighs as she puts Connie in her cot and kisses her goodnight.
The phone stops ringing when she leaves the room.
As Isabel walks into the living room the phone rings again. Issy walks over to the phone and answers it.
"Hello."
"Hey, is Kairi there?" The voice asks.
"Um no, not at the moment. Why? Who's calling?"
"Oh I'm Lainie, I just wanted to tell him something."
"Ok well you can tell me and I can tell him." Anger rushes through Issy's body as she speaks to the woman.
"Alright. Well just tell him that I had fun last night."
Issy's heart shattered. She knew what she meant by her having fun last night with Kairi.
Isabel put the phone down and tears started escaping her eyes, but she quickly wiped them away with her right hand.
Isabel walked back into the living room and saw Corey on his xbox. She smiles at him and walks over to him, kissing the top of his head.
Isabel couldn't believe Kairi.
